I really wanted a new windshield and purchased one here used from Toby. It was the F1

Through no fault of his the darn thing came with a corner broken off of it. :gaah:

But God works things out. ;) I ended up contacting the NEW owner of the windshield business and Jim made me a new one.

I have to say, it was an awesome experience. Jim is able to talk with his customers in depth about what they NEED and what they WANT to come out with a great product. He even followed up on the purchase to make sure I was happy.

Here's what I purchased. I have to say that at 84mph the shield doesn't dance around and I no longer feel like I'm being slapped about. I wear an open face too. Even in winter. (Though I wrap up and look something like a pathetic terrorist :yikes:)

I have to give a shout out when I'm happy. Too easy to complain and it's hard to find people who make ya feel like you got more than you paid for ya know?

And at $99 bucks who can complain?:ohyea:

This side view shows how flat it is higher up. I saw that and thought "Oh no. :( That thing is gonna be flapping all over the place." I was WRONG.

I have the up and outs. The previous shield touched some so he altered it by about an inch. This pic shows the clearance.

Nice to hear you had a pleasant experience with the windshield guy. :)
I have the slider and it has been very nice but i have thought lately of possibly purchasing the Mantis.

The company is called Motorcycle Windshields, and can be found at www.motorcyclewindshields.com (http://www.motorcyclewindshields.com) .

Jim, the owner, joined the forum earlier, I believe his user name is JimA, and had a post looking for someone to test windshields for him in Florida as well.

He did a great job making my wife happy, and if momma is happy then everyone's happy. :2thumbs:

It looks like he is currently setting up a new web site, most likely to distance himself even further from Marcel. He bought this business from Marcel, and where there were serious issues with customer service before, Jim actually knows what customer service is all about. He builds very nice windshields at good prices, and also provided outstanding support when dealing with my wife.

Here is the most contact information I have off his business card.

I also believe he is registered on here as JimA if you want to send a PM.

I am also going to send him an email message tonight to find out about his web site.

I already received a reply from Jim. He has hired someone to rebuild the web site for him. As of right now, www.boatscreen.com (http://www.boatscreen.com/) will work, along with the contact info posted earlier.
