I've gotten my Spyder to 125 on the speedo. It had more and I should have maxed it out as I've been curious ever since. Probably not much more.

I think it has a lot to do with which windshield you're running.

So, what is your story?

128 MPH with original BRP 'touring' shield and tucking myself down. It had some more but I ran out of road and temerity.

With CHAD on---- can't get it over 115--- hard to even get to that speed.

MPG also drops big time with bigger shield.

132 (214 kph) on mine with the Stock "touring" as well. I am a little under 135lbs so that might have helped out a little. I was right at the end of the throttle at the time though, so not much more from mine, I expect.

I did 139 MPH today and still had more to go,
Then i adjusted my bifocals, and the speedometer was reading only 39 MPH.
:ohyea:
Does the 139 MPH still count??:roflblack:

You have not ridden with Lamont much.

I did 125 mph on a freeway on ramp one time (Suzuki M109R) keeping up with Lamont. When I asked him why we were going this speed his answer was "Because it was too short to go any faster!" :yikes:

Then, later that same day, I was going 145 mph trying to keep up with Lamont! He was pulling away from me and I decided to back off. His GPS recored 151 mph. And he was towing a Bushtec trailer! :yikes::gaah::yikes:

So, 125 is pretty mundane, depending on who you're used to riding with.

Oh, and sorry, I'm not buying the 138 mph Spyder run.

Well, I don't have a picture of it because when it happens (triple digits) I usually am not trying to do it. Last time was 116mph. I was on a frontage road with a long straight and great visability. I was listening to some Ozzie Osborn and just cruising down the road. I looked over at the Interstate and there was a CHP coming up the hwy as I was headed down the frontage road so I looked down to see how fast I was going. 116 mph, oops.

I headed for the parking lot of a little rural store a couple miles down the road. I parked for a few minutes to have some water. Sure enough, as I was sitting there the CHP came off of the Interstate (in the opposite direction he had been travelling) and made a beeline up the frontage road I had just pulled off of.

I think he was so busy looking for me on the road that he just never saw me sitting there. The thing is, the Highway Patrol base office for this area is right here in the town I live in. There are only 3 or 4 Spyders in the area that I know of and only 2 of them are silver. Guess I should keep the stock paint job for a while. :D

And how many extra pounds the rider is carrying around.

On 14 in a full tuck, no wind resistance and level, wide open road I have seen 132. And it seemed like had more in it. At about 109 she just kind of squats down and tracks very true. I don't know if anyone else has noticed that. This chassis likes downforce! I do not recall what the tach read but it was in the 9000 range (maybe 9250)...

131 back side of 540 that still being finished so plenty of straight road but I must say..there was more slight downhilll sloop towards the end. I often because people drive dumb out there get up to over 100 on that road but to be honest have not tried to do it again. Next time I do though, I have an app for it and will record it.
I have hindle, sport shield JB, Airflow system. Need to get another job to get the turbo once the warrenty expires.

You know that brings up a point. I have not seen a top speed posting on the Turbo Spyders. I'm sure it's just whatever the rev-limiter will let you do.

Probably a good place for the 30 tooth front sprocket or a chip that will let you adjust the rev-limiter.

105 Mph a few weeks ago, of course she is still new and not fully broken in. I also am a fairly big fellow weighing in at 265 Lbs and the RT-S was still wanting to pull me along down the road. Had my daughter with me the other day and she and I were doing 97 Mph on the Interstate in a quick pass and that accounted for roughly 375 Lbs of flesh and blood rolling down the road.

The RT-S had plenty left in her and wanted to do more but I decided prudence was best! :2thumbs:

Good point Ron! If I had the turbo I would defintely have a hardened carbon steel 30-tooth made for sure. So Let's hear it turbo ryders! WHat is your top speed? Enquiring Spyder Ryders want to know!!

I have hit 110 a few times. The most recent time was with my mom on the back when they came to visit, and she is not a small woman so I know my Spyder has more in it. I just need to be in the right frame of mind, and hit the right section of road, before I decide to see how much it has left in it. :D

As for hiding from the police, I blew that a long time ago with the mods on my Spyder so I always need to be extra careful. They have no chase rules in place around here, but when you are the only one they have no reason to chase you as they will just wait until the next time you roll through town. :gaah:
