I just installed the Elka suspension on the Spyder. Wow! The Spyder really does soak up the bumps now. Smoother ride front and back. Handles like a train on the tracks. I haven't really pushed it yet but I can already tell it just sails around corners flat as can be. I think it just may be the best mod I've done for comfort and performance. Check out the pic in "my mods album" Dennis

Looked through your album and noticed that you have Brembo calibers. What can you tell us about that. I did a search of their site and could find nothing listed about the Spyder.

You know, I am not sure about this, but I believe Brembo makes our 4-piston calipers. Perhaps he just found a cover that matches? How is that for a reach? :roflblack:

Actually my calibers are powder coated, no covers. The brembo label was there when I bought #522 in march '08. This is an appearance mod and could be duplicated. The real brake mod is the ISCI handbrake, it really adds stopping power when used with the foot brake as well as safety when your feet are on the highway pegs. Dennis

Sometimes appearance is everything. :D It would be very cool to see a real set of Brembos for the Spyder though.

Hi YPILOT ...

I've just had a successful install of Elkas on my RT-S. While there remains some exploratory tweaking; like you, I'm thrilled with the improved ride and handling.

Again congratulations. Would appreciate your impressions or feed back with how Elka did with your preload settings.

Best,

Surfer
