diff between gs-rs-rss

hi guys and girls have been a :spyder2: rider in new zealand now for 4 weeks
AND LOVE:2thumbs:
but i need to know
what is the diffrents between
gs-rs-rss
i cant seem to find this info can some one point me in the rite direction please

:congrats:welcome The GS are the bikes that were made before 2010 the RS is the 2010 models the RSS are special edition models that came out in 2010 also hope this helps.

do you know if they changed anything between the gs and the rs
i can see they changed the rear blinkers
what about engines
i have just brought mine and was sold it as a rs but i put in the 12 volt kit the other nite and noticed ther is a sticker on the frame behind the front box that said gs 2008:shocked:

It would appear to me that you bought a 2008 GS. The motor or drive train, to my knowledge, has not been changed since the GS introduction. I would make sure that my dealer did the recalls, service bulletins etc. to bring your machine up to date. GS and RS are the same bike,just different years.

Good question Rustman, I wondered the same thing. I bought my '09 under the impression that it was an RS. When my BEST warranty card came in it said GS. :shocked: I wonder what they will call the 2011 models?

There is virtually no difference between a GS, RS, or RS-S. The biggest difference is that the RS-S is only offered in a SE5 (automatic) and the other two are offered in both the SE5 or SM5 (with the exception of the early 2008 GS models which were SM5 only).

The motor is still the same.... 998 Rotax V-Twin with 106hp.

just what i wanted to here:2thumbs:i have had a good talk to my dealer about all the up dates and he reasures me all up dates have been done
it is the rainy season over here so have only riden her for 1400kms but we already have have some big trips planed
man i love riding my:spyder2:
