Okay, so here are some pictures of the hubby's Spyder. Still more mods to come. Now I have to buy another GIVI trunk for mine since I put the V46 on his. I'm thinking the E55 Tech.

FANTASTIC! I am extremely happy for the two of you. :congrats: You guys are going to have epic fun. I think we will too! I took my Phantom out for it's first 100 miler today. All under 5000 RPM of course! That was hard to do because I have been charging the RS-S pretty hard, so I had to keep telling myself SLOW!! :spyder: Besides, The RS-S is my wife's now!

Lose the box and windshield and it would look good.

To steal a line from xxx74 [if you mod your ride to the approval of others then it is not really yours] I have the same problem with my graphic wrap [some people don't like it] :dontknow:

What rack system is that on the back?

What rack system is that on the back?

It was the one on mine, it's the one from RoadKrome. It didn't fit well with the Corbin seat.

Looks awesome! Are you going to put a Hindle on?

We are considering a different pipe, yes. Probably a Hindle. I hate the stock pipe.

How many miles has he put on it so far?

A little over 400 in about a week and a half. :D

EXACTLY!! We put the rack and the GIVI trunk on his considering we still do two-up riding and it's not comfortable without the backrest. We figured why spend more money on another backrest system if I could just move the one on mine to his, which fits better. And now he has more storage which is greatly needed.

I mod for me, not for others... just like XXX74 said. Qstick, I like your wrap by the way. :2thumbs:

Of course!! I've always been a big fan of "make it your own". If you love it, that's all that matters. I am also a big fan of being UNIQUE. Without the box or the windshield then it's just a plan old phantom black stock Spyder with no personal touch. :doorag:

Next mods coming up include:

For me, headlight/foglight LED rings, HID foglights, fender strip LED lights, and a E55 tech GIVI case

For him, foglights, fender strip LED lights, mudflap running/signal lights (red), exhaust wrap, and ESI risers

I am also looking into getting myself a different pipe and giving the hubby the Hindle. Looking at the single Two Brothers with a dB reducer tip.

To each their own! If you tour, which it sounds like you guys do, then you gotta have the stuff! BTW, I just got the call... my Hindle is in! Guess what I'll be doing this week-end?!? ;)

Exactly! And we do, so we need to be comfortable. Also the Spyder is my "car" so I need the storage space to run errands and such. Besides it rides and feels the same and I still look cool. :D

You'll love the hindle. The install is a breeze!! ENJOY!! :2thumbs:

Right on. I'm stoked about the pipe. And I couldn't agreee more about the cool factor! :D So keep the pics coming as the new ride evolves. It will be an intresting journey to be sure.

You know, it just dawned on me that we are not that far from you guys!! I didn't even notice until now! DUH!

LOL! I noticed. Does that count?? We should hook up and ride. Of course I'm pretty busy for the next few weekends, but I am sure we can work something out. :2thumbs:

FANTASTIC!! I think that would be a great idea. Since I just got the Phantom I have now turned possession of the RS-S over to My Wife Kathy. She is totally new to the Spyder experience, but she is learning fast and should be in position to go for a cruise within the time frame you have outlined.

When y'all are ready either you or your husband can email me @ dmorais@sbcglobal.net. We can meet, have some lunch and do a brief intro ride. I think that would be a great ice breaker! I know you guys do long hauls; I am a sprinter/racer/crazy-head and Kathy is new to the whole thing! :roflblack: But I think it would be excellent to meet you guys. I've always been lone wolfin'n it so this will be a new experience. I look forward to it! SO do your thing and when you are ready get in touch and we'll make it happen. Thank you! :2thumbs:
