Just received Invitation to renew Insuance and got a huge shock to read it had jumped to $1461.00. (Last year $763.00)

Mature age rider, no claims or traffic infringements last 5 years, Insurance Rating 1.

Then I went online for a quote to verify it and it was $1175.03 :hun:
So I decided to get more online quotes:

Famous Motorcycle Insurance $922.82

QBE $859.00.

So then it was on the phone for a while with a senior underwriter from Swann Maxirider (my preferred insurer) to finally settle on $880.00.:firstplace:

It sure pays to shop around!

Hi. Spyder 37 !!

Initial insurance quote for my 2013 RT for a bit under $13,000. Went to "Insure my ride" Web site and obtained online quote. Went back to QBE (preferred insurer) and then after sending copy of quote I had received from "IMR" QBE matched that quote. Only difference of cover was that excess with "QBE" was$50.00 dearer. I could live with that as have always had good dealings with them.
Cheers, Kenn

I took the MSF safety class. It saved me 30%. I renewed my lapsed motorcycle license and saved another 25%

Hi. Spyder 37 !!

Initial insurance quote for my 2013 RT for a bit under $1,300.

I'm a new chum having only taken delivery of my RS yesterday - I'm a 64 YO, having ridden all my life, and on max no-claim. I took up insurance with Swann for $21.68 per month :)
