Official have identified those killed as president Mats Malmberg, COO Charles Bales, and CFO Damian Riddoch.
Multiple media sources including Bloomberg Business Week report the trio was returning from a business trip to Detroit when the accident occurred. Bales was flying the 421, and had requested an emergency landing at Tulsa International. But the airplane went down in a wooded area near the airport. The reason for the emergency landing request was not disclosed.
“This is a human tragedy beyond imagination,” U.S. highland Chief Executive Officer Steven Moell said in the statement. “They were all true visionaries and will be deeply missed.”
