The Spyder

Stealth-ly it moves on 3 rolling feet,
With V-Twin Power and wicked physique,
Rules the road and owns every street,
The Spyder!

No one knows just where it began,
At first it evolved from shift to auto-tran,
Now an awesome RT stalks this land,
The Spyder!

Like a Rock Star seated upon his throne,
You can do this 2-up, or go it alone,
Plug in your Bluetooth, your tunes and your phone,
The Ryder!

Change it a lot, or leave it alone,
Ryde close by, or venture far from home,
Everyone knows it’s just BAD TO THE BONE!
The Spyder!

There’s nothing to challenge, this is clear,
They all hide, run, or tremble in fear,
While the Y grows stronger, every year,
The Spyder!

Twist that throttle; let your Spyder spin,
You’ll never want anything else ever again,
Once you’re bitten you’ll wear a permanent grin,
The Spyder!

Ah! You noticed! No one even remembers those Burma Shave signs. But I loved them as a kid (really, really young, like just born, kid)!

I'm actually only 29 but I remember my Grandfather describing them in detail. :D

Unfortunately, no. A variety of cars, but the best was my old man's Chevy convertible. Cruisin' down the road in a ragtop, reading Burma Shave signs, with the wind blowing in your hair, on a warm, sunny day, can't be beat...ecept maybe if your arm was around your girlfriend, and you were reading them together. Great fun!

You forgot about pulling into a Stucky's when they still had great food and awesome Malts! (Not that I know anything PERSONALLY about any of this!)
