WindShield help between Mel's or Cal Sci

I am about 5'7 and was looking for a little less wind at speed and was debating between the CalSci and Mel's Monster Garage windshields. I am leaning toward Mels becouse it is tinted and not to big and looks nice on the bike. Does anyone have input between those two?

While both work okay... I have a collection of shields that I spent hundreds and hundreds on until I got the CHAD system.

I would spend a bit more than the Calsci or Mels and get a CHAD or MadStad setup.......nojoke

Don't rule out the Givi. Great price and has worked well for me at 5' 10".

I have the CalSci and love the looks and the fact it lets in air through the center in the warm months. :2thumbs:

Forgot about that one--- which I also have in my collection..... but still not adjustable.

Actually once it gets warm out I'll pull my CHAD shield off and put the GIVI on the CHAD brackets.... CHAD jr. :D

Sorry, can't speak to either of the ones you mentioned. I bought the MadStad though and am looking forward to getting it. There are pictures of someone with one on here (I can look for the thread tonight if you want it).. it's adjustable, comes in smoke and I think it looks great.

In my opinion we are all different sizes and have different riding positions so for a windscreen to be "all things to all people" it really needs to be completely adjustable in angle and height.

I currently have 3 windscreens as well. Right now I am using the Givi which also works great for me at 5'9", and would probably be even better if I was a couple of inches shorter. If I decide to switch out again, I will most likely get the robobrackets and mount my BRP Sport Touring screen to them.

with the cal sci is there any issues riding at high speed with woble? What about rain coming in the hole?

I still think the cal Sci and the mels have the best looks. I ride at 80 to 90 and do not want any shaking or woble or back pressure.

I had the cee bailey windshield on my RS. Since Bailey's primary business is manufacturing windscreens for aircraft, I figured they would have shattering and wind effects pretty well figured out. I certainly wasn't disappointed in the looks or serviceability of the windshielg. Just my opinion. Price was also reasonable.

I had it to 99 mph with no wobble . At 6' I have the Large and when I can afford it will get the X-Large for Spring/Fall. Excellent quality for $100-$120!
