No I'm not on the wrong thread. Prior to rolling over to 2100 miles my RTS brakes never made a sound. Yesterday morning and again this morning I had flashbacks to my RS. I opened the garage door, fired the RTs up, backed it out, applied the brakes and heard a squeal! The front brakes then continued to squeal all the way to the coffee shop. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this same thing on the RTS. It is 59 degrees and 91% humidity. I'm hoping that the present weather conditions are the cause of this problem. I'm really not in the mood to have to screw around with this problem again.:yikes:

Mine squeal at times too. Started around 3K miles.

I've found that pumping them will usually eliminate the squeal. (at least on mine)

Mine a little too. Not as bad as the rs yet.

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't really bother me that much either. It just makes it harder to go to coffee without waking up "Grumpy". :roflblack:

I've notice that when I apply the brakes slow(soft) coming up to a light. My brakes squeal or squeak real bad. But, If I down shift and then apply the brakes faster (more pressure) they won't squeal.:2thumbs:

This is kind of how mine is...that and braking in reverse. It's not much, but it is annoying on a bike with only 800 miles.

My brakes have squealed since about a hundred miles on the OD. I don't think much about it because the brakes on my 1200GS did the same thing. Brake material compound?
It STOPS that is the important thing for me.
