This town and the people are absolutely awesome. Cowtown is a dealer beyond belief. Combine these ingredients with the heart of Gene Strum and you now have the first Annual Spyderfest. We have been to all of the BRP events and both Spyders in the Smokies and I have to tell you, this event was on par and at times surpassed any we have been to. The small town welcome was amazing, these folks have embraced the spyders. The police escorted us through town and all the traffic lights, heck even the police in the next town over participated when we got there during our ride time. Len and his wife Vanessa from Cowtown were the most gracious hosts ever. So very helpful and accommodating at every turn. Joe, MO, Terri, Bridgette, I know you and your spouses had a hand in this too and I want to make sure you get your accolades. Virginia, Gene's wife, truly a wonderful, gentle woman who worked her butt off to help make this a success. I can not say enough, the scenery was beautiful, the roads were winding and not busy and some great twisties that could rival those you may have ridden in TN. I am sure I could go on and on and I will probably get back to this thread and post more as I think of it. We are packing up and getting ready to leave right now, but I wanted to throw something on here while I was thinking about it.

I am so glad (and envious) that all is going well. My brother lives in Camdenton MO and I think the Missourians are the most friendly people I've met outside of Ireland. Just a great group of down to Earth folk. Can't wait for our cross-country trip top start!!

Dochands--check out the pics. I worry about anyone who misses a Spyderlover's event from here on out :yikes: (even if you have a good excuse) You never know when someone ornery will give you a hard time!

Dltang--your words were too kind!

We had a fabulous time pulling this all together, and were just OVERWHELMED by the amazing group of folks we met (I had to tell Len to stop talking at 2 am Sun morning so I could go to sleep ). There were so many folks that helped to bring this event together--Of course, Gene and Virginia, Rick and Kathy (my dear in-laws), all of the workers at Cowtown--particularly Master Tech Kevin Lackner, Bumblebee, G-Man, Xpescon and his wife Lisa, MoLee and Lilly. We cannot say thank you enough to these folks and all of the participants to our event!

We consider ourselves blessed to count you as friends! Looking forward to seeing you at another event :ohyea:

Yes It's official!!!! This is an annual event, but must say, Lamonster is going to be guiding us along next year so with his help and the midamerica spyder ryders, It should turn out to be a better event and lol more than 30 or 40 days planning should make a diffrence. Thankyou so much Deb and Brian hope you make it home safe! You all arived us spyderlovers to us.......but in our hearts and minds you left as family! Just really no words to express how much we are thankful for this weekend!

What an awesome gathering. It was really great meeting so many of the people that I kind of felt like I knew from this forum. Plus all the new Spyder riders.
Cowtown is comprised of a group of super people. Spyder Bill and I just arrived back in Spring Hill Ks. The first thing I told my wife is "If I buy a new RT, which I want very badly, I know where I am going to buy it".
Thanks to each and everyone that put this event together. :firstplace:

We had such a good time, words can't even describe what a blast we all had. Met so many SpyderLovers, I believe I made a lot of new friends, we were like one big family.

There was no ending of surprises in this gathering, and so many laughs we shared.

Putting a face to some of them with their avatars is great, but meeting them in person is so much better. What a great bunch we had. Thanks for coming, and hope to see you all again.

The ryde was great, scenery even better, great job!
I want to Thank everybody involved in putting this Event together.
This was my first spyder gathering, and I couldn't of wished for a better one.

I am going to miss you all a great deal.
Especially a MI and FL SpyderLovers, I think we hit it off well :D

It was truly a great time...but remind me again, which is better - four aces or a straight flush??

You know, I got to thinking, there are even more people to thank than I originally put down. Not all of them are from Cuba, but they sure helped the event to shine. Rumor has it that Bumblebee (Bridgette) got with Evan of ESI for the donation of some or our prizes on Saturday night. So Thank You to Evan for his generosity. TeachBob donated gift certificates from his powersports store, Bob, that was an added bonus. Of course, there was more local hospitality to add to the event, let's see, Gift Baskets from the historic Wagon Wheel Hotel, and the Rocking Chair Store on Route 66. Also, a personal note from Brian and me. Thank you to everyone for the Happy Anniversary Card and the Sparkling Juice. We had one of the best Anniversaries we have had in years. Spending it with true friends and new friends just makes it that much more special. Oh yeah, did I say Thank You. :D

I agree 100% with Deb on this event... just amazing. I'm sure next year will be bigger...
Len and Vanessa were just fantastic people to meet. Genuine folks. Next year I want to come a few days early and help them with anything they need.. I'm sure many others feel the same way!

Can't wait.

Still reeling from the weekend.. have a very nice feeling and met such wonderful people.

Take care everyone.... hope to hear from the Florida gang to know they are home safe and sound!

Here's a good story for you. I was talking to a lady at the Methodist Chicken Dinner Sunday in Cuba. We were both at the Country Club Friday night.

Her husband John loved the Spyders, and I think he bought some of the ryders a round of drinks.

She told me, "If my husband had had one more drink Friday night, we would have owned one of those Spyders by now. I took him a diet Coke. "

I guess Len will have to work on him before next year.

It was great meeting all of you, and it was a privilege riding with the Spyders.

Hello everyone,
I didn't get to make it on the trip to Cuba MO this year. Spyder broke and can't get it in the shop for a couple more weeks.
What was funny though was on Monday morning, a guy at work asked me if I was riding down highway 44 this weekend? Says he saw like 30 Spyders clumped together. I knew who it was and was a bit envious but there will be another ride I'm sure. Glad to hear all the good talk about CowTown etc.
