the brackets seem to last around 10 to 15000 km as i have 30600 km on my se5 in 8 months, this is the second time. there have been others as well im told here in oz .new brackets installed yesterday.shop mechanic allowed me to take old brackets home i will be going to look at putting metal rods running up inside of guards to top of rear guard, there is already some rods on guards at the bottom from factory but why the did not carry it further up for more strength i dont know.i have done no off road riding at all.our roads hear in oz are not that bad.my mates say that when there behind me the guard bounces a lot,and this may be the cause for the faliure in the bend of the brackets.i will post pic"s.as for my wife having an iron fist i can not blame her for this problem LOL.

Hi all
hello to pop 49,docdoru & atadude.i dont think pig ugly r/light,was the problem as i had removed it,yes 100% agree with you mate pig ugly.i have cut the bottom of the guard and moved the num:plate up on the guard where the bracket for the light was.replaced little plate light with led plate holder.looks better.the brackets seem to be braking same place for some people.
will post pics.

Hey 57

Don't know if you're seen mine elsewhere on this forum - but here it is again anyway. Off a 1400GTR (naturally) or ZX14.
