Okay, I see a lot of dogs in Avatars lately. Many of us have furry "kids" I thought I would start a thread so we can show them off to everyone.
Here is my dog Casey

That is just a bag.

Boy am I blind, It looked like the tail of a cat or some other animal pet.

I have three dogs and 5 cats. The cats are what I call throwaways. People threw them out so we adopted them. They have had a good home since they showed up at our place.

It's bad when your wife and dog are both smarter than you are.....:dontknow:

Oh they are all so cute!! Love the picture of Casey and Mya waiting for dinner.. All my life I have always loved dogs... We have 4 of them and I will post a picture later on today because I just can't seem to get all of them to sit together.. Besides 2 of them go to the groomers today and we don't want them to look to bad while I post a picture of them on the internet.. We have 2 Cooker Spaniels, and a couple of mixed dogs...The one in my signature photos is 1/2 poodle and 1/2 ****zu,, we have another one that is 1/2 ****zu and 1/2 Lapso Apso..
We do plan on getting another one ( in the next 5 years) and it will be a larger dog,, I had a weimaraner when I was a child and have ALWAYS wanted another one.. That was the best dog that I can remember.. So if you are in the weimaraner business let me know but PLEASE do not send a picture of any new weimaraner puppies because I am WEAK when it comes to looking at puupy's and I will have one before my 5 year mark, ha ha..
Stay tuned for a updated photo of the dogs later on today..

Thanks for posting Deb..

PS: Why is it that most MEN always bond with the little dogs and most LADIES tend to bond with the bigger dogs, isn't that funny or what!!!

Lizzie likes to play with Annie. They chase each other around the house. Stella doesn't care much for Annie. She prefers people.

Sorry to hear about your loss. :( I had to put my 15 year old lab mix down last year. It was one of the hardest things I had ever done. He was my baby, followed me everywhere. He was my first dog.

We think Charlie is dead - he is from Vietnam. He's this blue/black tarantula - I have to find a pick somewhere. He lives in a hole and tried to attack me once. HDX laughed and thought it was funny. He hasn't come out of the hole and I'm not checking in on him anymore.

That is a trip to the hospital if he were to bite anyone.

Oh she is always under cover somewhere. Her poor feet, ears & tail get ice cold. But when the sun is shining she just basks in it. She actually gets tan lines from her wrinkles. She is already darker than she was this winter as she lost most of her color since we had hardly any sun all winter. She is quite unique...lol

The cat likes to paw at the glass with Rosie. Gotta be careful w/ her that she doesn't knock the tank off the table. Also have a very heavy book on top of the lid. But with Killer - he is kept on the kitchen counter and the cat doesn't go up there.

These aren't nasty ones - very common found in Chile. Not biters either. If they get upset, scared or mad the rise up on their back legs and shoot hairs out of their chest that would stick to you like a cactus pricker would and you'd end up itchy.

Rosie is like having a pet rock - she doesn't move around much and she likes to hang upside down from the top alot. But Killer is fast and likes to stand up on his back legs if you go near him. He doesn't run from you but will run to you if your hand is in the tank - nosey little guy he is.

We aren't home much so they are easy pets for us.

Our 6 pound Yorkie, Bad Leroy Brown, loves to ride with us.

Leroy was rescued 4 years ago from a puppymill in Wisconsin that had 1600 dogs in their breeding stock (not counting all the puppies). The entire litter was going to be destroyed because they weren't 'perfect' designer dogs.

When he was about 6 months old, he had a bad reaction after being stung by a bee and he died in my arms. I did CPR on him until we got him to the vet. Thankfully, he pulled through just fine and continues to be in good health.

Today, Leroy is beginning training as a therapy dog, which seems to be just up his alley as he never fails to bring lots of smiles to those we pass along the highway.

I do pet therapy with my lab, along with rehabilation therapy. Of all the things I have done with animals, therapy is the most rewarding. I hope you and Leroy have great success!!

Okay Ken, I'll bite, what is the whole story on your family photo?

Well Debbie

I am an animal lover and for the last 16 years have been married to a true animal lover. :2thumbs:

This is my wife that locally the WCS ryders do not believe that she exists, well she does. :chat:

She is an animal behaviorist at the San Diego Zoo and for many years ran the animal shows at 2 locations at the zoo and helped with shoots for TV, Commercials, special viewing, private parties and parades.

The Zoo recently has new management and a new show was put together and it has been about 6 years since I had been there.

Well Dennis is down from Tracy Calif. and Lamont is in town so I offered both a free ryde to the new “Back Stage Pass” where you get up close to the animals, Lamont had things to do so Dennis and I went and then met Lamont afterwards for BBQ at about 4pm and had a great time with doing Spyder chatter stuff and we finally split up at 10:30 pm after we spent 30 min with the local police answering his questions about the 3 RT's that were there. :chat:

Lamont road with us yesterday on a Spyder Thunder ryde.

I have lots of Pics from white tigers, clouded leopards and have even transported 2 baby Clouded leopards from San Jose to San Diego Zoo.

The pic is the first pic of the wife and me for almost 6 years and these pics always make good conversation. I do spend a great deal of time ryding the Spyder and she encourages me to have fun and since I have been gone so much the zoo is a second family for her just like the Spyder community is for me. :ohyea:

That's the short version Debbie :coffee:

Thanks! Boris, Rascal, and Maggie are from NorCal Boxer Rescue (http://www.ncbr.org). My husband and I have been a volunteer foster home for them since 2005. I've had over 40 of these guys in and out of my house. It gets crowded sometimes, but they are great dogs.

Leia and Frankie live with my mom thankfully, and Phoebe is my mother-in-law's dog that came with her when she moved in with us (I wish she would have just brought the dog instead of herself, but that's a whole other thread!).

Onthe left is Hazel, the best dog ever, driving the car. Sadly she passed away in March and I miss her terribly.

On the right is Sam, he is my constant companion. Sitting up is his only trick, he is very handsome but not the brightest. I love him anyway. Just last night I was telling my husband that Sam needs his own travel blog complete with a map of states that he has visited. We just returned tonight from a trip to NY where I bought a trailer for my RT. I hope to customize it so Sam can ride along with me on my Spyder.

Irish, I am sorry to hear about your wife and your dog. Your heart must be broken.

Great thread! My first attempt at posting pics, so apologies if it doesn't work. The first one is of Bear, my black German Shepherd who made it 15 and 1/2 years and was the most loyal dog I've ever known. Lost him last summer and still miss him. The second pic is of Titus, our one-year old GS with a little akita mixed in. Titus is a rescue dog, saved on his last day in a shelter. He is a sweet dog and loves everyone.

I had a pet 'rantula when I was stationed in New Mexico in late '60s. I found him in one of the hangars. He used to sit on my head under my hat. One day I went to the BX and forgot "Fang" was there. I took my hat off when I got inside and heard a scream and thud. A lady saw Fang and fainted. Needless to say I was very quickly asked to leave.

Sorry to hear about your loss. :( I had to put my 15 year old lab mix down last year. It was one of the hardest things I had ever done. He was my baby, followed me everywhere. He was my first dog.

I know what you mean about putting your best friend down. We had a black lab for 16 years, That was very hard. That was 7 years ago and still miss her. The first year of brandy's life she thouight her name was SOB.:gaah:
Then she turned out to be a good dog.

Skimmer, my Jack Russel has been riding with me for about 6 years. Unfortunately, she has developed a Heart Condition at age 14 and now has to stay home and take it easy.
Her protege, Jenny, is 1 1/2 years old and has already made it clear that she is ready to take over the shotgun seat.
