Okay,
I was reading in the Droid thread about favorite apps and decided it would be fun to see what everyone is using on their smartphones. I know there are different ones out there and every app doesn't work with every phone but it may just give some of us some more ideas.

Here are a couple of apps that I use with my Iphone that I really like.
OliveTree Bible Reader
Kindle Reader for Iphone
iRentMovie for managing my Netflix
Dragon Dictation-I haven't used it a lot but I really like it.
Pandora
Genius for adding zoom to my camera

Kindle Reader app is free. They even have some free books. At first I thought it would be hard to read a book on my phone but I have read 4 of them now with no issue. It is actually kind of neat.

What is SnapTell?

WOW, really? I'm shocked. I'll have to get that one.

SnapTell is an app that you can snap a photo of a book, CD, or DVD and it'll go out and find where you can buy it online and how much. Works good for finding books from Barnes & Nobles for sale at Amazon and stuff like that. I don't use it that much, but I like it when I do.

When we went to georgia I used localpicks for the iphone to find good places to eat. We found some really great food in the same complex as our hotel. hubby laughs at all the apps I have, he ends up having as well on his phone when he synchs up. Oh well. They have come in very handy.

The three I use most are Shopsavy - scans barcode and compares prices local and web, Shazam which listens to music and gives artist and song, and Weatherbug- it has quick access to radar so I can dodge storms when out riding.

It can actually save you a bunch of money. I have has stores match prices from it and have driven a couple of miles for a $40 savings on an item from a store I did not even know was there.

I have an iPhone and some of my favor apps are.

Pandora – Internet radio station

Have2Eat – Find places to eat based on where you are at the time.

MotionX-GPS – This app uses the built-in GPS to record a track with your speed, avg speed, ect. You can save tracks and send them to our friends or give them updates where you are at. You can download maps for areas that don’t have phone service so you GPS will still work.

I use these all the time.

Weather Bug Elite (http://weather.weatherbug.com/mobile/iphone-weather-apps.html)- Great app to check local radar when you're on the road.

Google Mobil (http://www.google.com/mobile/)- I use it to search anything and I just started using the "Latitude" (http://www.google.com/latitude/intro.html#dc=gh0sla&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=gh0sla&utm_medium=ha&utm_term=google%20latitude) app that comes with Google Mobile. That lets you track a phone in real time. It's great if you want to track someone on a road trip. You can do it from your phone or your home computer.

Memory Info- (http://www.iphoneappreviews.net/2009/03/21/memoryinfo-w-free-memory/) This is a great app to free up your iphone memory and check your battery. I use this everyday.

Dragon Search- (http://www.dragonmobileapps.com/apple/search.html) Another great app from the folks that gave us Dragon Dictation.

Dragon Dictation- (tp://www.dragonmobileapps.com/apple/dictation.html) Great app for answering emails on your iphone without typing. Works better than any VR program I've ever used.

G-Spot- (http://www.posimotion.com/index.php?page=applications&option=view&item=2) This is a cool app for emailing your current location to your friends and family. They will receive a google map link to click on that will show right where you sent the email from. That have a Droid version too.

Some of these I use more than others and some I don't really use at all but I like having them on my phone.

Pandora- (http://www.pandora.com) I used this a lot when I first got my iphone but now I use PandoraJam (http://www.bitcartel.com/pandorajam/). This allows me to listen to Pandora on my home computer and save the songs to itunes without ever saving the same song twice. Then I load those songs to my iphone for hours of music without a internet connection. really saves the battery this way.

Gas Cubby- (http://appcubby.com/gas/index.html) Great app to keep track of when you did what.

SmackTalk- (http://appshopper.com/entertainment/smacktalk) This is a party favorite. It's by far the most entertaining app I have.

Zillow- (http://www.zillow.com/iphone/) This is a great app for looking up home prices. It has an amazing amount of information.

I have a bunch more but not worth mentioning here. I'm sure you guys already have Facebook and stuff like that.

I have a new app that I am utilizing to try to get back into shape, it's called
C25K That stands for Couch to 5k in 9 weeks. It is a program that is based on going from nothing and being out of shape to being able to run a 5K. Anyway, it allows you to use your own playlists and it tells you when to run and when to walk and so on. Very cool. It is also compatible with the nike+ iphone sensor which I hope to order come payday. I found out I don't have to have the Nike shoes to use the sensor. I am getting excited!!

I just got Poke The Mole - it's a stupid game but entertaining when you wanna whack someone on the head. These little moles pop out of the ground - sort of like the gopher on Caddy Shack and you whack them on the screen - it gets really fast.

:dontknow:
I got to say I spend far less time using it as a phone than I do checking my emails, websites and just having fun with it.

I just Jail broke my phone and now have MiWi on it and it works great. Now if I need my laptop and I don't have a wifi connection I can use my iphone as a wifi hotspot. :doorag:
