Had a light stroke last week, I am fine but the left hand is not. It has come back a lot and I hope to get it all the way back. A lot of feeling is gone as well as fine motor control. If I have to trade for a SE I might go all th way. At this point it is wait and see.:dontknow:

You have a beautiful Spyder and hopefully you will be riding it or another again in the near future.

Ischemic or embolic, the aggressive PT in the first 3 months is going to give you a full recovery.

Sorry to hear this Danny. I am glad to hear that you made it through it and hopefully they will get you fixed up with therapy soon. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as well. Relax for now, and do what they tell you at PT.

Really sorry to hear that. But with some good PT you should make a full recovery. We'll be praying that you do.

Thanks every one they have all ready started me the leg is back pretty good.. The left arm is doing OK I worry about the left hand. I am doing the excesses. This is through the VA and they have some of the best Physical Therapists. One way or another manual or Semi-auto I WILL RIDE AGAIN. hopefully next spring. My typing has gone to h***, My boss types with one finger so he said I am still one hand better than him.

Doc they think it is Ischemic but they have not located it yet They did a lot of tests the neck and heart looked fine. They will do a MRI soon. The CAT scan was clear (no cats) there was evidence of an old stroke I don't know when. But nothing showed of this one. I recognized the symptoms and went in early they are calling it a TAO. To me a stroke is a stroke.

Sorry to hear that, but it sounds like you might be making a full recovery given physical therapy and your positive attitude!

hope all goes well for you. My sister had a stroke two years ago, and had a full recovery, infact we even joke about it now.

Go with an SE, its no trade up or down , just easier. I am practicing on a demo SM5 and believe me it shows up as a necessary

hassle right now ( no offence dedicated manual shifters). All my cars are manuals but this motorcycle thing is new to me.

And I don't look at it as a trade, when I was on a race track with a paddle shift I was able to concentrate more on the line

(place I wanted me and car to go ) than on the mechanical blip/ heel toe shift.

please keep us informed as to your progress.

I am tying to look at the bright side, "you see officer I had a stroke and lost feeling in my left hand I really did not mean to do a burn out!" think it will fly?:roflblack:
THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT.:firstplace:

It might if the throttle wasn't on the right hand side. :D
