Hello,

Anyone up for a meet & greet/ryde to the Hillsdale Diner? They got the most awesome pies there. Real good home cookin' food. And they yell at ya if you don't clear your plate! :2thumbs: If the weather is good, we're going - should be there around Noon or 12:30 at the latest. Going to head over there on Sunday - so far weather is supposed to be around 60 degrees.

State Route 22 AT State Hwy 23

I'll be there. That should be far enough north to entice magic man and wizard master to come, then I could meet everyone at the same time.

If weather is good that would be a great ride from New Jersey.

We were planning on taking a ride on Sunday anyways. Looks like we have a new destination point now. Timeframe will work too since the little one needs to be back in Albany for Cheer Practice at 3.:dontknow:. So were game for some pie! And Taylor really loves cheesecake and chocolate cream pie. Give us a call to firm up the meeting time.:2thumbs:

I'll ask HDX to post our ride route when he gets home from work. At least it won't be snowing just yet :2thumbs: Remember the ride to Southern VT - this past Spring - the first meet & greet at the Royal Diner? Started off at 30 something degrees early in the morning. We all arrived and it was GORGEOUS out - close to 60 degrees! Then on the way home we took some scenic backroads in the mountains - through the snow and fog! Thank goodness for the Gerbings! Brrrrrrr!

I also remember you admiring those handle bar muffs that I had on my spyder that day! They do work great! Using the muffs along with the heated grips and the heated gloves keeps the heat contained and my hands stay real toasty in those colder climates.

I've been fighting lower back pain lately, so I'm not sure if I can take that ride or not. I will see how I feel by the weekend. I sure would love to go though. Have a nice ride otherwise!

Go to the doctor and get Tramadol. It helped my back pain! Even helps more when you have a glass of wine or a beer with it :2thumbs:.

Also try that MSM Glucosamine - it works well and will get your joints back to normal.

(The lovely bride is working, but our daughter will come with me, especially if the temp's go up to 60 degrees like the weather channel predicts. The last time she rode with me was when we picked up the banner and the Sharpie from tatt2r in New Hampshire last year when it was 28 degrees...)

Yeah, where have you been? I missed your banter with my husband. He needs to have his Massachusetts brother to pick on so he will leave his wife alone. I have been getting verbally harassed ever since you went MIA. I am just now putting the pieces together. :D Thank you for you return. LOL

Ha!

Well, Deb, you can tell Brian that my fragile ego has finally recovered from his incessant teasing (about my driving, about my carbon fiber color choice for the Spyder, about my breakfast eating habits, about my driving, about my accent, about my multiple windshields, about my driving...) so I'm ready to give it another go.

With, you know, enough medication.

(See you both at the diner in NY on Sunday.)

Since I haven't posted any comments in a while, I figured I had better at least show my face at this gathering.

We had a great time with HDX, Smylinacha, RoadDog, vtrider, MagicMan, Jody and family (+ T-Rex!) and burg and rnet and Big Steve and partner.

I told Kim and Lou that whenever I ride alone or with Barb, it snows or rains, but when I ride with the CT folks, it's beautiful weather.

Sure enough, it was so mild today in New England, I thought I saw a firefly--though he did seem to have some trouble steering...

(The other folks with better "droids" than mine will have nicer--and posed--photos!)

It was great to see you all. Now my daughter knows that my stories about you are true!

Well, I made it home finally! I just got back about 1 hour ago. It took me about 5 hours to return like it did getting there, even using a different route. It was a nice ride though coming back home and not as sloppy with wet roads and fog like it was in the morning when I headed out on this trip. I did hit some fog in the Bennington area though. But it was only for a few miles. It was nice seeing everyone and the food at the Hillsdale Diner was great. Thank you Smylinacha for suggesting this ride! We will have to plan on getting another ride together in the spring and summer months. I will post some pictures when I get a chance.
