I just had my first service on my 2022 RT Limited. I swear that the bike runs smoother after the service. Is there something that is done to the bike that I'm not aware of?

The engine runs smoother? It rides smoother? It handles smoother?

It's most likely your brain's response after spending a lot of money on something frivolous, LOL.

Are you sure it's your spyder that you got back from the service department?

Maybe didn't use BRP oil? :opps:

Maybe they did a laser alignment or belt tension adjustment? Not much else that could have occurred to smooth things out.

There used to be a cattle guard on US 95 in Idaho. It was painted on the road! If you concentrated really hard as you drove over it you could feel the car tires rattle over the rails!

All it takes is for one smart cow to figure out it's fake and then they're all out. :banghead::banghead:

Never happen. You can't imagine just how dumb cows really are! In fact I think cows hold turkeys in esteem for their intelligence level! :roflblack:

I know it isn't rational, but my Spyder, just like my cars, runs better after it is washed and has a full tank of gas. I clean the windscreen on the Spyder after every ride. I can't stand for there to be bugs or dirt or whatever on the screen and I'd swear that the bike runs less well when the screen is dirty. But then again, I feel 40 years younger when I go for a ride.

Flamewinger is correct. If you used BRP or similar 5W40 you will notice a "notch" at about 3K where that smoothness starts fading as the viscosity is lost, which in my opinion is primarily due to the gears in the transmission. The loss won't harm your engine (which is a tough piece of machinery) but when your mileage reaches 100K or so that loss will result in slower clutch engagement (ie, flaring) at operating temperatures. Enjoy the smoothness -- it's a great engine!

If the smoothness is the transmission shifting smoother then I would agree it 's the fresh oil. Recently did the second oil change on my RT and used Mobil 1 4T 10W40. The transmission certainly seems to shift smoother. Less then 1000mi so far, so we shall see. Always a fan of Mobil 1.
Doing my part to turn this into another oil thread.
