Heavy rubber belting, or buy a mud flap for an 18 wheeler and cut it down to size.

I don't remember where I bought it but there is an aftermarket piece that fits horizontally on your hitch. It fills in the void between your fender and the hitch ball. After installation (easy) it looks like it belongs and should have been there in the first place. Totally eliminates water and road debris from spraying up and onto to back of your passenger and everywhere else..... Jim

I purchased mine from spyderflap.com which is listed on the Home page as a sponsor. However, when I clicked on it, the web page is for sale. I googled spyder mud flap and found 2 on ebay. Finally, Inspector Gadget (https://www.spyderrt.info/can-am-rt-products) has one for $45 + shipping. Inspector Gadget also provides free instructions (look under U-DO-IT) on how to make your own. Inspector Gadget makes several items for sale and provides instructions on how to make them

Here's what I have laying around me shed. It is dirty at the moment but will clean up nice. Problem is: If you want it, how do you get it?

Be careful about making a mud flap too long and too stiff. I did and quickly (luckily) caught it before I did any damage. Mine caught on those darn parking lot raised water bars and scraped the pavement on the entrance to a steep driveway. Hitting too many of those can crack and damage an RT's rear fender. Now I have an OEM trailer hitch with an OEM flap and it still scrapes at times. Just gotta keep an eye out and take that stuff at an angle to protect the front and rear of our rides.
