Bought a new 09 red se5 yesterday.

I'm 66, and people that I know who ride are very supportive, those who don't ride think the old guy has totally lost it...

Looking forward to picking it up about the 11th or 12th of Nov.

I've learned alot from this site so far, expect to learn a whole lot more, and hope to be able to add something as I gain some experience.

In case anyone is interested, I found the only MSF trike riders course in Arizona. The Arizona School of Progressive Riding, on Luke AFB. Their website is http://www.azproriding.com/azproriding/index.html.

You are never too old. I am 65 and my wife and I have ridden 28,000 miles in 11 months on our SE5. Just enjoy your Spyder, ride it the way you want to, not like everybody tells to do. It's a whole new world with adventures awaiting you around every corner or open road. We have friends moving to Hereford, so may get to meet you soon.

we went to the smokies and most of the people are old that rides the spyder that surprise me. :roflblack: maybe the old people are smart the bikes are safe and fun. I think they are so safe i got my wife a 09. ok i am 43 is that old?

SpyderWolf
10-24-2009, 07:59 PM
I am 43 as well. :D

A major factor in my decision is that I have had 7 knee surgeries, and could not really trust them to hold up a bike at a stop for an extended period of time. There is no substitute for not having to put my feet down.

45 here and problems with arthritic ankles would make it difficult to ride two wheelers daily.

welcomeBe 69 in a month. Love my spyder. Only person who thinks I'm nuts (at least says it) is my son. He's a Harley rider so I take that into account. Plus his bloodline is a little suspect.
Anyway, ride safe and enjoy.

. . . .yes, Red is Faster than Yellow (just), which is just seconds Faster than Phantom (boy, do they hate that), but none of them are faster than Silver! Which is why it is called "Full Moon", 'cause that is all the colors behind a Silver see. :D
