I know I have read somewhere about BRP discontinuing some oem parts. I think the US by law has a 10 year obligation. What about Canada? I have a 16 RTS and am thinking about a 2020 or newer BUT if BRP is not going to produce replacement parts, I don't know if I should continue down the spyder road.

As far as I know. To sell in the USA. You have to meet DOT requirements. Regardless of what the native country requires.

I believe you are correct, plus I believe that the reciprocal also applies.

I believe the parts time frame is 7 years.

Thanks to all. My wife said I can get 1 more newer spyder which will probably be my last ride.

I believe this is correct. In the automotive world anyway.

Well I am at 10 years on my 2012RTL and so far I have been able to get whatever I needed, not that I have needed much. At 74,000 miles I don't expect to be needing any major engine parts soon, wheel bearings and seals can be bought at a bearing house by number, filters, brakes and rotors are available aftermarket. Worst case I can look for a good used powerplant from a wrecked Spyder. Body parts same thing. Same with computer parts.
