Hi everyone. Don't have a Spyder yet, hoping for next year. I was wondering one thing though. Where are they putting the state inspection stickers on the RT? Thanks.

Don't know about the Spyders, but some of the two-wheelers I know put them on the bottom of the passenger floorboard. Fold it up, you can see the sticker, fold it down, it's hidden ... like it should be.

It varies from State to State whether or not you even need one .... and if you do the State will tell you where it goes .... check with your DMV .... jmho .... Mike

A good place would be on the left wind wing on the lower part of the windshield. That way you don’t have to see it and it doesn’t interfere with your vision.

Pa will put the sticker on the left front shock.

Mine is on the left lower panel (the one you take off to check oil).

Mine in pa is on the left front black wind deflector just infront of the floor panel. Your feet can’t touch it even with the pegs. This year it was black inspection sticker and actually looked good.

I put mine in the same place as Wmoater and didn't stay there because of textured plastic.
Usually you don't get stopped unless your doing something stupid.
Have the paper work showing it was done anyway.

My dad had his in same spot since he bought his 14. 100,000 miles later before he sold it it never came off. We used a lot of alcohol to clean it. I’ve never lost mine and its a 17. Make sure to use alot of cleaner, then scuff it with the white plastic pencil and stick it on when its hot outside. I get mine inspected in June so its usually warm by then. On snowmobiles when the corners start to peel we simply clean the corners and spray on 3M adhesive and heat with hair drier and they stick. I also don’t scrub it really hard when I wash. In fact, most of the time I use tire foam spray on that area. I don’t wash and scrub around the inspection sticker.

In Louisiana we just carry them with registration and insurance paperwork. They do not have to be visible but motorcycles are required to have them.

The state of Vermont puts them on the left lower wing( near shock, and frunk).

I'm a " criminal " :gaah::lecturef_smilie::roflblack: .... I have a 14 RT and had it inspected - TWICE - , after that I just didn't bother, WHY ?, because I keep my Spyder in great condition and I have a serious issue with paying $50.00 to have someone look my bike over ( 5 min. which = $600.00 per hr labor ) and put a sticker on it. .... I don't think anyone else should do this but :dontknow: ..... good luck .... Mike

I’m not disagreeing with your first statement, I know you said others should do it in last sentence too and respect that comment. It’s a rip off and I agree, but I can say this about PA. I run 2 large snowmobile trailers, a 38’ and 25’ toyhauler and a 36’ horse trailer. We put close to 30000 miles a year between the 5 trailers. State Farm’s and Erie insurance both 2 largest insurance companies will “not” pay full coverage/ replacement if I get in accident with them and they are NOT inspected. Even if someone hits me, the other insurance company can say it wasn’t inspected and was caused by malfunction. PA requires trailers to be inspected each year with brakes. I didn’t even question the spyder. I think “don’t quote me” but I imagine it’s the same with bikes if not inspected. PA requires it to be inspected every year. I’ve never seen a police officer actually pull a bike over for not being inspected or fined even but the insurance part is what scares me more than police. I can get mine inspected for $30 so it’s worth it to me for my insurance. I know glacier park this summer did check for state registration, insurance and inspection if required in the state. We needed reservations for each vehicle to enter the park before we got there. I’m guessing that will happen in others in the years to come.
