Did someone do it to you, or did you misjudge something? Any chance of reimbursement? OUCH!!!

Wouldn't your insurance cover this? Or is it not worth reporting?

That's precisely why I made this bumper. In my first week of owning my F3L, I just touched a concrete wheel stop in a parking space. It resulted in a hairline crack that's almost invisible. Now, if I repeat that, the bumper will tell me to go no farther. Hopefully. The supports double as a bump skid.

Yup! The plastic will break and the cost is not cheap.

There are 4 recessed bolts that hold the bottom pan in place. I used their holes and substituted longer bolts because spacers were needed.

I was getting ready to go on a poker run, I had pulled my Spyder out of my shop
parked it in front of the shop door, it was Idling..... My 40 year old youngest son
who had never seen it before decided to hop on and grab a hand full of throttle
the next thing I know ( glad I was not in the way) this is what happened....
"I have no idea why the pictures are on their side" the fire doors $6000 to replace
repair the wall and other busted up stuff $2700... My son didn't even get a scratch,
The Spyder damage was bent up plastic where the hinge for the trunk lid is and knocked off
the BRP trim section and broken left front fender light.
I pulled out my heat gun heated up the plastic and massaged the plastic back into place reinstalled
the trim with the BRP badge replaced the light and rode it to the dealer in Modesto
Cycle Specialties, had it completely gone over and had it serviced while it was there total cost $422.00
My insurance wanted to total it.... I said no way I do not want it to have a salvage title and they said
OK fix it yourself and send us the bill... I did just that..
SO all in all I would say the old girl is a tuff old bird and can take a hit pretty good.
SO if you have an old GS or RS may as well hang on to it cause they can take a beating and keep on ticking.....

Not too sure what, but whatever it is, it's very solid, like steel. I would not have done it that way unless it was. Swingmod's cattle guard for F3 bikes, mounts the same way.
