Great to see everybody today and it's good to know that 3wheel has a "better half". We need to do something like that at least a couple of times a month.

After the breakfast, Ed and I drove over to Brookshire and located a meet place for the Houston bunch riding up to La Grange on Saturday, September 26th to meet some SA and Austin area Spyder ryders. Meet at the Shell station (north side of I-10) on the east corner of I-10 and FM 359 at 10:00 a.m., KSU at 10:30.

Brookshire is 63 miles from La Grange, so we should be able to make it easily there by 12:30 p.m if we leave Brookshire at 10:30 a.m.

The meet/eat place in La Grange is the Prause Meat Market. http://www.roadfood.com/Restaurant/R...es-meat-market (http://www.roadfood.com/Restaurant/Reviews/567/prauses-meat-market)
The link provides the location and the menu. I'll call them tomorrow and make sure they can accommodate us.

We'll miss Ed who'll be returning from the Spyders in the Smokies event, but hopefully, Chris will be able to show.

Look forward to seeing you guys again along with the SA and Austin area folks.

We have a couple of Ryders from San Antonio planning on attending. We will have to set up some centralized place to meet up so we can go to La Grange en masse.

I'm suggesting the Wal-Mart on 1604 and 281. I picked that location simply because I'm the first to suggest it :ohyea:

Anyone else have a better suggestion, please chime in

I'm good with Wal-Mart on 1604 & 281. Let me know what time you want to leave and I'll be there.

Here's a route using back roads if you are interested; otherwise, we can make a fast run out I-10 if we are in a hurry to get to La Grange. Just a thought. SA riders, let me know what you think!

That's about as "back road" as we can get from SA to La Grange. We really don't have a lot of choices for scenic back roads, so this works for me. Maybe some of our future destinations will be more scenic.

I'm just glad to get to see a bunch of local Spyder lovers!

10 AM sounds good to me if we are KSU (kick stand up, figuratively speaking:2thumbs:) at 10 AM. We should make it to La Grange by 12:30 depending on the speed limit in those small towns. See ya'll at Wal-Mart on 9/26 @ 9:45 AM.

Well, things are looking good for the September 26th meet/eat with Houston/SA/Austin area folks in La Grange at the Prause Meat Market, 253 W. Travis Street. Here in the Houston area we've got a 30% chance of rain Saturday, so things look fairly good at this point.

Houston bunch will still meet in Brookshire at the previous posted times for the ride up to La Grange.

Look forward to seeing everybody.

We should be at least four of five from Houston: Glynnk, Ozzie, Batmobile (a bit late on his own joining us there) and me. Trying to contact Pappy to make it five. LittleJohn may come in a cage.

PS: I PM a bunch of other active member in the H/SA/A area. Let's see if we get some more.

Chris

I will let Glenn decide since he already did some exploring, it may be good idea to pick the scenic route when we come back with a larger group. Are you still coming a bit later or would you join us in Brookshire?

Chris--I was thinking about going 359 out of Brookshire then to 529 through Bellville and on to 159 into La Grange. Would a different route be more conveinent for you?

Great meeting today, a total of 8 Spyders. All models, colors and possible mods!

We had trm17118 and better half, Brevet05 and Ghost_Ryder representing San Antonio and Glynnk, Batmobile, Ozzie, Steve and me from Houston. Great food in La Grange at the Prause Meat Market (a tip from our buddy Little John that is still recovering). Gread conversation too. Lets do it again:2thumbs:

I also had a great day today. It was great to meet with like-minded folks, and to watch others interact with their admiring public. As a relatively new rider, I learned a lot! I'm looking forward to our next get-together.:2thumbs:

If we have some riders coming from the Austin area then Lexington would be a good idea. If it's just SA and Houston again then maybe a trip to Victoria would be about the same distance for all of us. Don't know of any good restaurants in Victoria so I'd be open to ideas. What dates work for all of you in October?

Only bad weekends for me is October 24th-25th and 31st. The weekend of October 31st is the Lone Star Rally in Galveston and the Houston bunch was thinking about riding down to that.

Put something together and I'm sure the Houston folks will turn out.

10th or 17th?

Lexington would be an early meet-up around 9:30am there (they run out of food quick).
