I really would like to order the Blue RT-S w/trailer but I am hoping they are going to go to a bigger engine in a year or two. Until then I will just have to enjoy my 2008 SE5. It is paid for, I have close to everything I want on it (need some more ESI lighting) so I think I will just wait a year or two. But I see an RT in the garage in the future.

Lamont, is there a trip to northern California on your calendar before you have to give up the RT? I sure would love to see one in person and maybe
get a test ride. I can crank out some pretty mean home-made ice cream. 2500 miles for an ice cream social? There has got to be a patch or a plaque or something that would commemorate a 2500 mile ice cream run:D

How about it? :ohyea:

I hope to order one later this week. Is Timeless Black the only color for the Premiere Edition? I was hoping for the Orbital Blue, but only see the black one listed in the price list...

You can have any color PE you want as long as it's black. :roflblack:

They are only making the PE's in black.

You might start with the gps mount. BRP is pretty proud of it, looks like they are charging about $450 for the mount since they are asking $1200 for it and the Zumo 660.

The Henry Ford method... Thanks

For first things first, look at making the highway peg brackets and handlebar risers, if they are needed. Ergonomics is first on my list.

Awesome news!!

Anyone know how many PE's they claim to be offering?

Maybe you can get # 3302 out of 2500! :roflblack:

Too bad they don't offer the Blue for the PE also--- that would have been my choice.... although the charcoal/black is really sharp!

It will be probably depend on mileage, options and will most likely vary dealer to dealer.

Saw my dealer this weekend and he mentioned a trade-in program, but I did not ask for the specifics.

My dealer told me they were making only 1500 PE's. I also understand the wheels on the trailer match the front wheels on the Spyder.

LOL-----

The original idea for the Spyder PE's that many of us own was also 1,500--- then they increased it to 2,500 after they were selling too fast--- and then we all know what happened after that!

I read on BRP website in answers to questions that they decided to make more demo units available and they of course had to take them from the PE production line - which increased the numbering for the PEs.

I think we all are guilty on judging BRP actions before we know the facts - part of the internet social scene.

That is what bumped them up above the 2500 number (along with accidentally shipping a bunch of PEs overseas), not what caused the increase from 1500.
