Too cold to ryde? Naw, no such thing. Check out the story I posted last year on SpyderRyder:

Low forties in SW Michigan (frost up north) the last two mornings. Summer came and went while I was in the hospital. Gonna miss it.

Yeah, I have the liner in my jacket and considering getting out my turtle fur for my neck. Leaving work at midnight it has been getting down into the high 40's. I am hoping not to have to get my thermosuit out for a few more months yet though. This year, I have heated gloves on my Christmas list, that will be nice when the true winter weather kicks in.

Uh, guys? We finally got a break from a record 59 days this year over 100 with daytime temps only reaching mid 90's and we consider this a COLD FRONT! Morning temps today were 73 vice the last month of 81 and humid.

I can't wait till we get "winter in South Texas" when I can wear my mesh jacket again. Maybe put the lining in when it drops to a bone chilling 50 :roflblack:

Can you tell I'm not a fan (get it?) of hot weather? Wish we had some of your free outdoor air conditioning. It must be expensive to air condition the whole state.

Nope, sorry, I like my cool summers and cold winters way better than those scorching summers. It is easier to bundle up and stay warm for a ride than it is to cool down when it is miserable. Also, not to rub salt into the wound but this year we have not had to turn on our air conditioning once. Our utility bills this summer have been under $50 a month. That is so very nice.

It has been unusual here in NW Florida too. NIghttime temps in the 60's are unheard of in this area but they have been like that for a week now. Day time highs are in the mid 80's - usually still in the mid to upper 90's this time of year. great to have a break from the heat.
Tatt2r and all you Michigan ryders can all come join us in the Panhandle of Florida for year round ryding. :D

I'm real glad the nasty 90 hot and humid temps are gone - hopefully this is the end of it. I'm loving the cooler weather - I can breathe again and so can my :spyder:

I love being in California.... it rarely gets below 45 degrees here. The coldest morning I had to ride in was 39. I have heated gloves for this winter though, I hear it's gonna be a cold and wet one!

I rode to work this morning it was 48* and I still only had my t-shirt on. Us Mainers are a hearty bunch.

When it gets too cold I'll get out my Snowmobile gear and ride with that. Once the snow flies Spydie will be in hibernation, no salty roads for this machine.

All our summer heat got shifted to the south and west states. :2thumbs: I am not dissapointed at all in having a mild summer. Now if we can get a mild winter, I'll be all set. I'm still 10 or more years away from being able to be a "snowbird".
