So I put money down on a f3 s special. The dealers allocation is mine now. He said it is due early to mid April . Also said it being designed as sold could speed it up a bit. Anyway my question is has covid slowed production down?

This stupid ******virus must have really messed with the BRP factory. A NEW Sea 2 Sky was just delivered WITHOUT front speakers??????

My guess is yes. BRP had a hard time filling snowmobile orders and I was told by a dealer last week that if I ordered an ATV expected delivery would be late June/July.

Border delays? Seems to me that could get iffy based on available staffing and the current version of what constitutes "essential commerce" ...

The answer is most surely a YES. Covid has had a hand in everything these days. And Murphy's Law also has a hand. Whatever can go wrong, usually does. :yikes::gaah:

There were a lot of dealers that didn't get ANY new Spyders/Rykers last year because BuRP couldn't keep up with demand. The bigger dealers got most of what they wanted but even they were a bit short. I'd say things are moving along faster now but I'm guessing it will be another year before production is back to "normal". I don't think border delays have anything to do with it. There's still as much freight moving from Canada to the US and back as there ever was. Trucks, trains, ships, however they get them from there to here.

I am hoping i don't regret buying from my local dealer. I found a couple with 500 miles but i wanna buy from where i will get it serviced. Medium sized shop, decent folks.

There are a few of us who have purchased from iMotorsports, a site sponsor. They take trades, have lots of stock, and deliver and pick up at your door for free. Do a search. There are many threads discussing the company, and the process.

I am a happy customer from them. I have purchased two new F3's from them in the last 13 months. Both times had trades.
