Well my effort apparently paid off..
When I left Kissimmee, Fl to attend the LA owners evenst, I decided to try for the Iron Butt certificate.
Well, From Kissimmee, Fl to Pearcy, AR, 1,140 miles later and 21.5 hours I completed the trip.
Turned in my paper work and today received the Following:
---------------------------------
" Dear Forrest Jamison:
You are receiving this e-mail because of your application for a ride
certification. This note is to let you know that your ride has been
approved and although your ride documents may take a few more weeks to
arrive, your membership has also been approved and entered into the

Way to go Forest:congrats:; an accomplishment for sure. I'll stick to a slower pace stretched over time. Now you have that down you can sit back and enjoy the rides.

Great job! You are an inspiration to us all!

I did an Iron Butt on a 1993 Kawasaki Voyager in 1994, but that was never official. Maybe I can convince Kjen to do one with me on the Spyder soon. It's really not that hard. Just need to time your start so as to make your finish easier. I did the one in 1994 in 19 hrs, 20 min, along with 2 other riders (with their wives, I was solo).

I did about 1/3 that distance in 10 hours on Saturday and was feeling OK but don't think I'll be up to trying your time/distance for a while yet. Good on ya!
