I feel very thankful that we do not do DST here in Arizona. I don't have to run around the house fiddling with all the clocks. This morning at 10AM it was 85 degrees and heading towards 95 later this afternoon. Nothing but blue sky and a light breeze. Just enough breeze to have our flag gently displaying the red, white, and blue. Enjoy your day..... Jim

That was the same for us when I lived in Indiana during the 70's. Don't know if that is still the case.

Hey! Hey! Happy November from Valley Springs. Sunny, calm, blue skies, and currently 55 degrees. Yesterday we reached 68 during our beautiful 100 plus mile ride.

Supposed to get a few degrees warmer today. :dg1: we are going to ride.

South central WI is "normal" for Nov 1st. It was 60 yesterday and very windy, today it's 35 and still very windy..LOL.. high pressure and cold front. This week is predicted to be great though. No precip for the next 8 days with some days reaching 60*. It should be a great harvest week. Looking forward to getting snowmobile trails marked, and this week should be just the ticket for the crops to come off and fall tillage to start up. We were riding yesterday and dust was rolling from combines in every direction....a great sight to see!!

That was the same for us when I lived in Indiana during the 70's. Don't know if that is still the case.

Unfortunately, most of Indiana decided to start changing the clocks back about 15 years ago. :( That was one of the many things Mitch Daniels did that NOBODY agreed with.

Saturday was overcast and pretty chilly. Never got above the upper 40s all day. Sunday was much better. It was in the low 60s and sunny. It got super windy yesterday afternoon, though. 33* last night and mid 50s today with lots of sun although I won't have an opportunity to ride today. :(

:coffee: The Weather People are saying that we will have a warm up week. Temperatures should be in the mid 60°F.
I am going to enjoy the change and get some good Ryde Times.

The farmers will be running to get their corn harvest and shipped to the market. This has been a great year for their crops. Hopefully, they will get a good return and a reasonable price.

High today will be 63°F with sunshine, low of 43°F.

Enjoy the Change. ..........

WE HAD A CLOUD! It passed a little to the east of us but was close enough to drop a few sprinkles here for about 10 minutes. This is the first precipitation since July 24th when we had rain for about 45 minutes. I'm sure today's was not measurable but it was enough to make the street wet for a short while. Temperatures heading to 90 today. Believe it or not, that is too cold for us year-round residences to go to the pool. Some of the seasonal snow-birds think 90 is pool weather but they'll soon get over it when they become acclimated to the desert. We are expecting some rain over the weekend. Sure hope it happens. We need it badly..... Jim

Valley Springs AR: the warm trend continues. Yesterday was 77. We went back to the mesh jackets and I used fingerless gloves. The colder weather riding gear is on standby for the time being. The fall colors, no longer at peak, but now in total view were spectacular. We took the Hwy 7 cutoff to Vendor and the valley views were so beautiful that Linda had us pull over just to look at the fall beauty. This is the first time she has seen this much fall color and beauty. She was in absolute awe (me too).

A bit cooler today, but it looks like another ride. I am thiking we are going to do the 10 mph twisties around Mount Judea. That should offer more of the same. :riding::riding:

In Lincoln, Nebraska this morning it was 66° at 5:00 AM which was very unusual for this time of year. However this is been a very unusual weather year as it has been hot and dry. November has been a bonus month as it’s been in the 60s and 70s most days and it’s projected to be the same for at least another week. Cooler for the next couple days with much-needed rain and then back up to riding temperatures again.

Rode 80 miles yesterday, but it was windy also. We had a group of t-storm cells go through that were trying to spawn tornadoes on Saturday night. They were all around us. The closest passed 20 miles to our North. The warnings were in effect until 12:00 AM so I stayed up until then. The last weather radio warning came at 11:30 PM.

We had a couple trees come down on the property next door to us, and I encountered downed tree branches all over my ride area yesterday.

The t-storms and tornadoes are the only scary thing about where we live. The neighbors said 20 years since one was directly on our hill, but one came within five miles earlier this summer.

Well guys, you have reminded me why I live here and endure a few months of HOT. Yesterday it got to 92. Our community pool is 1/4 mile from me and I use my golf cart to get there. Spent a couple hours bobbing and telling lies with friends yesterday. It actually felt cold when getting out of the pool. I'm used to just getting in the cart and drip drying on the way home (110-115 degrees) Too cold for that now. Today has a low of 64 and high forecast of 88. Wind less than 5 MPH and no clouds. And while you're over there thinking that those temps could be getting into the 'might be a bit cold for ryding' range... here in Oz (where we use 'degrees C' & not that 'old school' Farenheit stuff! :p ) we're thinking that temps running into the high 30's, low 40's juuust might be getting up into the 'could be a bit warm for ryding today' range!

Mind you, I tend to move to early morning or late evening rydes when it starts getting much hotter'n that, and I usually don't even think of giving the ryding a miss until the temps are climbing thru the 'mid 40's' & on into the 'high 40's' or even 'early 50's' range - but that's all in Degrees C, of course!

I was just thinking about you. You are coming up on the first day of summer in less than a month. Isn't 20 C about 70 in F temps?

I can ride about 360 days a year here if I want to. It does feel a little bit colder at 40 than it did last year. I guess I am getting acclimatized to the new area.

Yep, 20°C is about 70°F (well, 68°F anyway, but 70 is plenty close enough for when I'm out ryding! ;) )
Our Summer here in Oz officially starts 01 December, so we're only days away from the start of Summer here  Altho this week's gonna be a scorcher, 47°C expected in rural South Oz, so it's really looking like it's gonna be a LOOONG & HOT Summer!! :yikes:

But we've also got a heap of 'climate drivers' building up around us that indicate heavy storms so we could be in for a lot of rain & flooding too; PLUS, already the heavy undergrowth & re-growth after last fire season's bushfires is coming on so strong in the warmer & wetter than usual conditions that it's looking like it's gonna be another really bad year for fires too.... What's that saying?? "It doesn't rain but it pours" - only now we've gotta add "and it doesn't get hot but it burns"... :gaah:

Still, just like this COVID thing, we'll get thru it, cos that's just what we do! :ohyea: :2thumbs:

:coffee: The weekend has arrived. Yesterday was a cloudy and windy day for me. Today has some sun coming up and going to be a good day. Weather People are saying that snow is going to be coming very soon. Stand by for that one.

Today's high about 47°F with sunshine, low 28°F.
Sunday's high 50°F with some sun/clouds. Low of 34°F.

Valley Springs Arkansas: Another month is almost over. It went by very fast, IMO. Beautiful blue skies, 40's going to be about it today. Supposed to be coming up on our coldest week so far...will see some 20's at night and 30's by day. Not typical for here. I guess moving to the area from Alaska has now jinxed them. :roflblack:

I am going to ride anyway. Linda, maybe not.

:coffee: Well, the month of November has come to the end. Seems like the days go by very quickly. The temperature was 33°F this morning. It was rain/snow showers and making for a chilly and wet morning.

Today's high 36°F, low of 25°F.

Stay Healthy. .......

Valley Springs Arkansas: It was below 32 this AM. The water in the cat dish froze overnight. Beautiful blue sky, sunny day...but on the cold side.

A great way to end the month.

almost 60 again today, wasted it taking the Spyder in for maintenance. 20250 miles and the only thing I've had done is oil changes, sway bar and replaced the back tire.
