Since good Spyder technicians don't fall off trees, finding an independent mechanic who may have the tools, B.U.D.S. diagnostic software and actual skill to maintain the quite sophisticated machines can be like hunting for hen's teeth, you might mention what kind of work you need done, more specificity about where you reside and/or how far you would be willing to travel to have someone do the work you need. For example, I travel 90 miles one way to have mine serviced by a technician who is certified and very qualified to take care of my Spyder when there is a dude who is "familiar" with Spyders according to a large dealership about 12 miles from my home and a Ride Now dealership about 25 miles away that just doesn't pass my smell tests.

I did similar - switched from dealer 10 miles away to one that is a 1hr ride. Just hope he sticks around - been there 5 years and knows his Spyder stuff.

I agree, good mechanics that know all about Spyder are hard to find. I also drive about 125 miles one way to dealer in Albuquerque. Well worth the trip, do not worry about work not being done correctly!

If you find a good spyder mechanic make sure you tip him. It will payoff in the long run.
