Ask local upholstery shop to flatten my seat ,they did .cost me 40.00 spyder rides much better now. cost alot less than a new seat.

Please elaborate . . . Does flatten mean reduce the padding? If not, what?
Guessing you are speaking of flattening those horrid points on the seat back? Even with those gone I don't think the stock seat would have worked for us; uncomfortable after lots of miles.
But, if it worked for you, great :clap:and you're sure right about the money saved.

cut bottom foam flat. before it felt like you were sitting on a ball ,with your weight on your 2 bottom bones. best i know how to explane it. excuse typing and spelling,been out of school a long time.
Understood, we didn't like the seat either. Made the butt position very uncomfortable and yes pressing into the bones down there.

I guess it all depends. I've done 13k+ on the stock seat. Seems fine to me.
I am politically incorrect, maybe I'm anatomically incorrect as well? :dontknow:

I get butt-sore on long rides -- but I find the seat fine too!
