View Full Version : Vote for a Spyder!

AZ Desert Spyder
08-16-2009, 01:47 PM
Hi Everyone - RideNow Dealerships across the country have recently had a bike contest for the best custom bike. At the time, I didn't have much custom work done (I've done some since...Corbin seats, handlebar risers, footpeg extentions etc), but as we all know, just having a Spyder is enough to make the bike unique and more "custom" than most other street bikes. I won 2nd place in the Cruiser class in the local contest, and an entry into the nationals. I'm hoping my fellow Spyder owners will vote for my Spyder and see if we can have a Spyder win the nationals. Mine is the only Spyder in the contest (and possibly the only one who entered the contest). Voting is open to everyone from now through Sept 19th. There's a link below to the voting web-site. The cruisers are all on the right side and it's easy to spot the Spyder. There's also a Sport Bike class on the left side and you can vote for one of those also if you want. You can only vote once in each class. Please check it out and I would certainly appreciate your vote if you would like to see the Spyder win!!!

That victory vision is getting some help from somewhere...it ain't all that yet it leads by a large amount...we need to get everyone here to vote for you...a few hundred votes are needed.

I voted for you, obviously, but we need EVERYONE here (it only takes a few seconds) to vote! You're currently I think in third place but with a few hundred votes, you'll win...at least that's the way it looks right now...

I'd like to thank all you wonderful people for your votes! We've gained a lot of ground today and I'll be sending an email to my friends at work tomorrow and see how many more votes we can muster up. There are a couple of bikes in there getting a LOT of votes, so it may be a challenge, but with all of the Spyder lovers out there, I'll keep my hopes up.

I've had a few requests for information regarding my hitch, so for any of you who may consider adding a trailer, I'll attach a couple of photos. I had the hitch installed by the company who built the trailer. It's Adventure Sports Products in Golden, Colorado. The hitch is welded to the frame up under the seat, so it's inconspicuous and still does a great job pulling the trailer. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks again for your wonderful support!!!

I've always liked the design of their trailer hitch but I was not at all impressed with their trailers. Spyderryder810 ordered one last year and it was not well built at all. The company has been dragging their feet to make this right with our Spyder dealer (who Spyderryder810 ordered it through) and the dealer still has the trailer sitting in his backlot to this day. :sour:

Just went on to vote for the Spyder and I noticed that it had 18.8% of the votes and a Victory Vision had 27% of the votes. So let's help him out Spyderlovers!

Never seen a hitch done like that----- interesting. Does it handle differently than a 'normal' hitch would?

I placed my vote yesterday at work. I will vote again at home tonight, didn't get the chance to do it last night. There are some nice looking bikes in that contest, but the one leading your category is butt ugly. Good luck, I hope you win. By the way, you have a nice looking ryde.

I voted for you again, from my work computer this time. That Vision is a vision, all right. :yikes: The owner must have a lot of friends and family throwing in votes. It looks like it took a serious beating with an ugly stick.

How did you do that? I voted from my home computer and my work computer, but when I went to the site again on my home computer, I could not vote. The site showed the voting results without the option to put in another vote. It obviously knew I had previously voted from that location.

There is probably a lot of multiple voting from the same few people. Who knows. These things are designed to drive people to a web site, not to actually get an accurate vote.
