HELP,HELP,HELP I have a 2010 rt sm5. I had a brake system warning come on and I heard a scraping noise on the front left, when I pulled the caliper one of the spring retaining clips from the back of the pad was missing. I cannot find the clips without buying a full set of OEM pads. I am trying to find someone who has a few clips left from their brake pad change who would be willing to send me a few clips. PLEASE text me at 865-221-5571 If you can help. Thank You, Greg Harrison P.O. Box 1823 Pigeon Forge Tn 37863

I will look and see if I have one and get back to you.I know how frustrating this is as I broke one once changing brakes and had to make one from piano wire. I was ugly but it worked. I'll pm u what I find. Also you might reach out to BajaRon. He may have one or sell you a single set of pads with new clips. EBC now supplies them with their pads for the Spyder.

I haven't heard back from GandM. Maybe pegasus1300 has already taken care of it. But if you find yourself needing a spring clip or 2. I've got spares in stock.

No I didn't, I am still looking. I am redoing the shop and everything is upside down. If you have one to hand it would be quicker to get it from You. I will keep looking just someone else needs one.

Maybe the OP found one elsewhere. They have not contacted me. Maybe his dealer had one laying around.

I don't think the OP, GandM, has been back on the Forum since about an hour & 1/4 after he posted the post that started this thread, which was well before any of the replies started coming, so he may not have seen any of the following discussion &/or offers yet! :dontknow:

Altho, given the info he provided in that post, maybe he's waiting for a text or snail mail letter??!

We all ride. Young, old, various backgrounds, political views, etc. We understand that, in many ways, we are all in the same boat. This thread is just a small example of what can happen if we decide to work together. A stark contrast to what we see on the news every evening.

Things can get better folks. But it requires that we work together. I know I'm preaching to the choir.

Have a message out to Ron :) He's like a superman of the board. My RS came with an extra set of brake pads when I got it used... time to put them on for this season. Buddy has a shop and was putting them on and the old retainer clips broke when removing original pads. New pads are just pads, no other hardware. Does anyone have extra retainer clips for a 2010 in their parts for sale or know where I can get some asap? Thanks everyone. Spring has sprung in WI, time to ride, hopefully! :)

EBC pads now come with the clips. If your pads are EBC call them in Las Vegas and tell them your pads don't have clips and they will send you some.

These are oem ... the guy I bought from was a brp employee... but just the pads and filters and stuff in a box and in baggies. So not EBC product. :( Thanks though.

If BRP should have come with new clips.

They probably did... he had a bunch of loose stuff he bagged and nothing in the box of parts he gave me. So I'm unfortunately missing the clips. I do have enough oil filters for the next 38 1/2 years though... so appreciate my box of stuff.

He moved from his home in Winthrop Harbor IL ... so no idea where he now resides. I've had this Spyder now going on 4 years and still really enjoying it, even if its an older generation... like me! :) Thanks Paul.
