Good advice.
Or remove cover, then repair with needle and thread from inside...
Or use Loctite “vinyl, fabric & plastic” flexible adhesive (transparent).

I used it on my truck driver’s seat, which was fraying at entry/exit area, a couple years ago and it is holding up very well.

If you have a motorcycle saddle customizer in your area, take it there. They would be more experienced with bike seats. I once to a saddle to a car upholster and boy, they really fooked it up.

That is an easy repair, take it to a local automotive upholstery shop if you remove the seat and take off the cover by pulling out the staples and hand the cover to the upholstery person
I bet you would get off for $25 or maybe less, have them reinstall the cover for you, they can do that while you are wondering how to do it. In my shop this would take less than 30 min.

I agree, in fact, with the seat removed and the cover off I would install MotorcycleDaves gel pad also.

One thing to keep in mind, is that it is on a bike that is getting close to 10 years old and if the thread gave up in one spot, it may give way in another. This is esp true if the bike has seen lots of outdoor time in the sun. The seat on my 2010 was starting to show spots where the thread broke and I ended up getting somebody's takeoff seat that had maybe 8 or 10 hours of use and was then stored away. That cost me 150 and a few gallons of gas to meet the owner halfway. YMMV
