Recent posts with questions about mounting with back rests or arm rests in place caused me to recreate a video that I first posted on this site ten year's ago when we bought our first Spyders.

So here is Penny demonstrating the easy way to mount your Spyder.

This is most useful when the passenger is already in place.

Try it out. https://youtu.be/hRdcFFq8E5I

Very nice. Very nice indeed.
I'll try this tomorrow with a passenger in place.
I imagine I can ask her to let me use the left passenger footrest for just a few seconds.
Did I mention that the video was very excellent ?

Thanks for the video! that stutter step to the passenger footrest looks like a good suggestion!

As an aside.... I would highly recommend if you ever have the chance to visit the final Canadian province on your list of Newfoundland. I have done 3 runs out there by bike in the last 5 summers, and would go back on the drop of a (Covid-19 free) hat. Beautiful vistas everywhere, (mostly) decent roads, and a people friendly and welcoming beyond belief. It would be beautiful in any vehicle.. done it on both a Harley and my last bike (Yamaha Venture) and would love to head back on my RTL.
