View Full Version : Need a New Grill

Bringing my 2019 Spyder F3L home for the first time, my motorcycle muscle memory kicked in at an inappropriate time. I relaxed as I was pulling into the garage. Barely moving, my feet went down and I reached for the hand brake. Of course the Spyder just kept on rolling and hit the front wall. Not hard, but enough to break some pieces off the grill. Something that will only happen once, but now I need a new grill.

Is there an aftermarket replacement that isn't as delicate?

A photo would help so we can see what part is broken.

Cheap Cycle Parts does not sell all Spyder parts. To me from the BRP 09-Body and Accessories parts fiche it looks like item number 5500c, PN 708200468 Carbon Black - Front Mouth. Package Dark, $124.99

I did exactly the same thing, same damage. I fixed it using the old superglue and baking soda trick, followed by spray can paint. Can't see any damage now, and very cheap fix.

Check out some online motorcycle salvage yards. You may find one for less $$.

Lots of choices on Amazon & eBay. You can get a SS one but it'll set you back $350+. The OEM looks to be as cheap as they come. There's one on eBay for $55 but no pics of it. You would have to chase down photos using the P/N.

Need info on super glue and baking soda trick, please. No need, I googled it. Wish I'd known about it YEARS ago. I'll hand-down the trick to my son.
