Hi Everyone
I get calls and emails all the time regarding the FREE GAS DOOR
well it's still FREE, It's an easy DO IT YOURSELF mod you can do
with the tools you have around the house and about 1/2 hour of your time.
This is a photo of the gas door installed, can you see it?
if you do not see it check my NEXT POST.

Now you can see how it is done, all you do is mark where you want to
cut the plastic pan ( NOT THE UPHOLSTERY OR FOAM ) by doing this
you have made a door and are using the foam and vinyl as the hinge.
EASY
you can cut the plastic pan with a sharpe box cutter or if you have a dremel use that.
Check it out before and after.

It seems like a great idea on the face of it, and yes, very easy to implement.
Would you also need a little velcro at the front to lock it in place?
I'd be concerned about the reliability, though.
How many fill ups does it take, until the vinyl disintegrates ?

Just my opinion, I could be wrong, and if I am, I'm sure someone on this site will let me know.

At this time I have done about 80 or so and not one has failed, velcro is an idea as you see in the first photo
but not always needed. when I do them here in the shop I take the foam and peel it back and put some
seat belt material on the pan just for insurance and glue the foam back in place it will never fail.
