On the mean time in an alternative universe, somebody is posting:

“Bought my brand new Can Am Spyder Tourism. I was a little worry with the Goldwind in Mexican steroids look so I did the following mods:

Took out the saddleback
Took out the top case
Lowered the handlebar by 4 inches
Took out the mirror extensions
Changed the 24 inches windshield to a 12 inches
Changed the foot pegs to a smaller size

Now it looks like a cool three wheel version of a sport motorcycle!!!

For every cruiser enthusiast who wants to sit upright with legs stretched out behind a plastic bay window, there is a sport bike enthusiast who wants to tuck in and lean into the wind behind a fly screen. While most owners of the Spyder seem to be from the first school, there are still a few who are obviously enjoying the Spyder as is off the floor. Beauty (and function) are in the eye of the beholder.

This topic would be better in the General Discussion section instead of here in the Mod section. The My Spyder Mods section should detail what you've done to or plan to do to your Spyder.
