August Ryde -- Gulf Coast SpyderRyders

We are going to get the planning started early this time. Maybe with more notice people can plan and more can attend. We would love to have all the area :spyder:owners and enthusiats attend.

So here is the plan:

When: Saturday August 29, 2009

Destination: Biloxi, MS Casino Row -- Lunch at the casino most voted for by the group.

A. Beau Rivage
B. Hard Rock
C. Imperial Palace
D. Isle of Capri
E. Grand

Time: TBA but probable start time about 9:00AM for meeting and 9:30AM departure. Starting time is from Pensacola for those to our West we will set meeting times at different locations to accomodate all who want to attend.

Please post your reply as soon as possible and the preference as to the Buffet of choice.

Have been working up the route for the August ryde.

I have heard from a few people about participating but have no firm count.

I know for sure we have CaptJohn, Sabunim5 and Jan, pllayman and a guest, wbbrn1952 and Kaavera and littlebit are a maybe.

For sure it looks like 5 to 7 spyders will be heading to Biloxi from the east.

I am also getting messages from our Gulf Coast neighbors in TX, I have heard from "pappy" about meeting us in Biloxi so could be a fair sized group.

I put together a route that leaves Pensacola from the foot of the 3 mile bridge and follows Hwy 90 to Malbis where we will meet our Eastern Shore ryders (CaptJohn and pllayman). (I have not heard from any ryders in Mobile as of this post.
From Malbis we will take I-10 thru Mobile to Theodore, AL then we will pick up Hwy 90 again and follow it into Biloxi.

As of now I have heard a vote for the Hard Rock buffet for lunch from the list I sent out.

I am checking with a friend that works at the Beau Rivage to find out if we need a reservation to bring in a fair sized goup so we can ensure we all sit together.

I have no contacts at any other casino but I will send out e-mails to the others once I get an idea where everyone wants to go for lunch.

Please give me some input as to the choice of buffet - form the initial post in this thread. Also if you would like to travel by a different route please let me know. As we will be going to Biloxi I don't know whether it will be better to do all I-10 after Malbis or is going on Hwy 90 after Mobile satisfactory.

I will send this also to the other state boards so others can vote.

I'm sure as things gets closer. Bill will post final plans and times. I really hope you can make the trip. It will be alot of fun and it is always enjoyable meeting other Spyder Lovers. Hope to see you there!

trying to get a good head count for this ryde.

I think we will probably leave Pensacola at 0900 and arrive at our Malbis location at 0945 then on to Biloxi and an arrive time about 11:30 at the Hard Rock Casino. (this seems to be the buffet that has received the most votes) After lunch we can go anywhere you want in the area or ryde along the coast and show off our :spyder2:s. I am game for anything.

I don't know if any of the Alabama and Florida ryders want to ryde back as a group but that too is a possibilty.

Post a reply to this message so I can get a feel for what will be happening. We have had some great responses for this ryde - Possibly spyders from FL, AL, MS, LA and TX all participating.
