What magazines or websites do you people read on new places to go and is anybody a member of a motorcycle club or riding group?

There is no national Spyder club or magazine to my knowledge...yet.

For places to go, Road Runner magazine is my favorite. Try the sport touring websites, or some of the BMW or Goldwing sites, too.

There are a LOT of riding groups out there. Many, if not most, -welcome- folks with any brand bike. Today my wife and I are riding with a local group of Yamaha riders.

Check with your local dealers -- Yamaha, Honda, Kaw. to see what they might suggest as a start - one or more may support a riding group. I once asked a local Harley shop if they allowed other make bikes to go on their Poker Runs --- their lack of response was my answer to that... your Harley dealer may be different.

There may be a State org. you can check with for various groups to look into. Here in Texas we have the TMRA (Texas Motorcycle Roadriders Assoc) with MANY clubs chartered under their wing.

Some professional groups are also out there. Police have the Blue Knights, as an example.

edit: How could I have forgotten the Patriot Guard Riders!!!! Yesterday the PGR helped with a flag line at a funeral for a WWII vet -- then we rode to another town to -welcome- home an Airman from Afganistan (sp?).. About 30 bikes helped out with these two missions... a group you may be interested in:

I'm joining a local chapter of the American Cruisers MC. Its a family based club which helps out at the local veterans home. A great bunch of guys. Another Ryder let me borrow his Road Runner mag. Good mag. Just wondered what else was out there.
