I just returned from a 29 day trip to see the west and attend the NorCal Spyder rally. I enjoyed meeting old friends and made some new ones. My thanks to Mike Invergo from Bandera, TX for being my riding buddy. I rode 7,988 miles on my adventure. My Spyder ran flawlessly the whole trip! The only hiccup was a battery that went dead in Lincoln, CA but I was able to locate an equivalent at an auto store close by and was up and running in about 40 minutes. I would ride my F3-S anywhere long distance!

Good to know,I purchased a 2015 f3s last month with only 1500 miles on it and thought maybe I made a mistake after all the negative post. I checked all I could with knowledge from this forum, changed oil to synthetic, adjust belt. I now have 3700 miles on it and love it. Former bikes were Wings and St 1100,1300.Thanks for the positives.

Glad to hear that things went well. I am planning a 6 week cross country trip for next you. I am hoping to have an uneventful ride myself. Glad to hear that the F3 was trouble free.

JKMSPYDER, how many miles did you plan on doing each day and did you find it easy to do?

We did 200 to 300 miles per day and it was easy. I did 700 miles the day before I arrived home. My F3 is so comfortable!!

8,000 miles on an F3-S, great job! Did you install a windshield? What model \ how did it work?

I have a Madstad windshield and love it. The adjustability is what won me over.
