I bought this mount to set up the Go Pro behind the wind screen. However, it vibrates too much to be anything but totally annoying video. Any suggestion how to completely stabilize this ? I had thought of putting something solid under it but what I don't know that would look nice...

The best place for it is on your helmet. Your body is a natural vibration damper. Every place on the bike shakes.

Maybe the damping systems from VibeX will help you: https://flightflix.net/product-category/vibex-gopro-camera/

On your helmet. You'll be surprised how much smoother your video is. You can buy the adhesive mounts anywhere they sell GoPro.

Mine's mounted on bottom center windshield. With one of their peak and stick mounts. Mine is a gopro 7 video always great no shake.

Check on Ebay or Amazon for mounts. Also, there are many places that sell a variety pack of mounts for pretty cheap. I use a helmet, side mirror, and a chest mount when I record. Just remember, a helmet mount will move as often as you look left and right. If your a sight seer, this can get somewhat annoying always panning left and right. Put some foam under it. I use round pipe freeze foam. Easy to slice shape you want. I use it for my gps that i mounted on dash from handlebar

The foam idea is good but what I used was Sugru which is a moldable rubber that can be used for almost anything. I made a short post for the camera I have. Amazon has the best prices.

This is the right idea. Just support the arm at its point of greatest extension
