Halogen vs. LED Lighting?

Does anyone know why the Spyder still uses the power hungry, hot running Halogen lights instead of LEDs? I have replaced mine with LEDs but it seems BRP is still holding on to an obsolete technology....

I think the reason may be …. If the Spyder used LED headlights they would have to certified by D.O.T. , and this could be an expensive undertaking.....Mike :ohyea:
