I found 2011 spyder RT that has 42k Miles for 10k its nice and has alot of extra like the Ultimate Seat and other options is it bad idea to buy one with 42k miles on it ?

also i found a 2014 Spyder ST-S with 8k miles for 11,800 just not sure I like the riding position

need some input

Your comfort in Riding position trumps any money deal, though 10k for a 2011 seems on the high side, maybe the seller will deal.

I though 10k was high myself the bike is nice and the $750 Ultimate seat is nice plug has highway pegs and other nice option like new tires and break.. just 42,000 miles i am not sure the 2014 ST-S is really nice but the seats is worn and not passenger backrest are alot of expense.

never own a spyder always rode Harley . I appeciate all Feedback I plan on buying this Friday something.. and I dont want a new one

Make sure you know what model you want first F3, RT or Ryker they all ride different. Then shop around try local dealers then on line like imotorsport https://www.imotorsportsinc.com/ or https://www.rumbleon.com/buy?q=can%20am%20spyder All so remember the RT 2010 to 2013 have 998 motor and 2014 to present have the 1330 motor both are good motors but the 1330 will get about 40 mpg as the 998 is about 30 mpg. Good luck shopping. Live to Ride, Ride to Live!

I would keep looking. I don't know about the market in your specific area but I have seen 2010-2013 rt's in the $10k - $13k range with far less miles.

Shoot me a PM. I sold a 2014 RT, with nice extras 2 years ago to a guy here in Cary. He has put less than 2k miles on it, and might possibly sell. Unfortunately he has a brain tumor and his wife wants to sell it since he cannot ride. In fact, he shouldn't drive a car.
But, also try the marketplace on facebook. There are better deals than what you have found, and in this area. Good luck shopping.

:agree: & the ST can fit a dual mode backrest the RT can not, with the ultimate seat it may not matter to you.

https://youtu.be/g1A8VNJu9kw really like mine, daily solo rider@ 6'3" 250+. The ST position with it has been great @ 44k miles. Otherwise it's about storage & what you can carry, both can tow trailer RT bags& trunk built in, ST optional bags & trunk removable for more "Sporty" look. Again the backrest helps with carrying a sissy bar bag if you like. 172915 several week or longer trips with just saddle bags & now exchanged the sissy bag for a pakitrack 172916
(more room than normal, less than trailer :firstplace:) also available for RT with a hitch:thumbup: other things :dontknow: think earlier RT's had hot foot issues both'13 ST & RT had heat issues needing extra vents. You didn't say if one was a limited that would have more options included;floorboards, GPS, radio, SE5 transmission. Know the windshield on ST is manually adjusted think RT has a switch & motor (may not be all)

gee whiz... for the money you are talking about, AND 42thousand miles?? You should look for a 14 or newer with the 1330 engine,
or maybe for getting your feet wet try a Ryker. 2011? uh...

When I started looking I was going 2013 RT L OR S. After reading and talking I switched to 2014. Pick my RT S th 26th in Indianapolis. It’s killing me to wait. Gave up 2 for 3, now I won’t tip over when I forget to put my feet down. Think 990 vs 1330.

You will be happy with the 1330 engine also. Hope the newer model with less miles still fit into your budget.. Ride safe.
