Don't know if this issue has been posted before, but I've noticed that if I restart my '09 SE5 while it's still two or three bars hot after a half-hour stop-n-shop in 80-plus degree weather and don't let it idle a bit before driving off, the engine idles high and doesn't rev down as quickly as it should (sticky throttle syndrome).

The solution seems to be to allow the engine to idle long enough to assume its normal range (1350-1400 in my case) before driving off. It's as though the ECU has to set itself to true idle before every run.

Anyone have a similar experiencce?

I love my Spyder, but man, it's a quirky little thing!

Our SM5 has had a hot-start idle weirdness for a while now. Not cured by letting it idle first, but it does get better after riding a while...usually. No answers from BRP as yet.
