I just installed the Lamonster ram mount and x-grip for large phones, and I was curious as to how you go about securing the x-grip. Right now it only has a hand screw to hold the x-grip to the mount, which it would be no big deal for someone to simply loosen it by hand and steal the grip. Is this something I should worry about?

There is one way to make it harder to steal. Remove the big hand wing-nut and bolt, take it to the local hardware place, and get a regular bolt, or screw of the appropriate size and a Nyloc nut to replace what's already in there. At least it will take tools and time to rip it off.

Ram has a key locking knob that replaces the standard knob. Check it out on the Ram Mounts website.

If you're worried about it, unscrew it and put it in your lockable trunk when you leave your spyder.
