Generally thought of as "the start of Summer" and all that goes with it. If you're traveling, be safe on the highways. There's going to be a lot of us going places.

And with all things going on this holiday weekend, take 2 Minutes and 34 Seconds to watch the following message. It's the reason we're celebrating a 3 Day Holiday Weekend. Thank you!

We fly two American flags; a 50 star and a 48 star to honor the Greatest Generation and that was the flag I served under as a US sailor. 172240

It's called "Memorial Day" for a pretty good reason...

All gave some; some gave all.
We will ride across Hoover Dam with several thousand other bikes to pay tribute to those brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Freedom isn’t free. It is paid in blood and sacrifice. Godspeed, warriors!

Hi Bob,

Re: It's called "Memorial Day" for a pretty good reason...

My grandmother, born 1879, always called it Decoration Day. I have no idea when it officially became Memorial Day.

Will be going to Red River New Mexico tomorrow for the rally there. Also, a stop at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnam_Veterans_Memorial_State_Park) in Angel Fire to pay my respects to those who gave all. It's an annual tradition for bikers here in New Mexico - it's called the Enchanted Circle tour.

I read an article about Chick-fil-A this morning. They have a special table set aside for the veterans who did not return home. Quite moving. Thank you Chick-fil-A.

We went to Chick-fil-A for a late lunch today.

I would like to suggest each of you stop by for a chicken sandwich or salad.

Regards,
Joe T.

Sorry, they are sideways.

Outdoors BBQing a tri tip right now and the Commemorative Air Force is nearby so the B-17 keeps flying over head. I love the sound of those engines.

Rest In Peace Dad, you came home scarred in a time no one knew what to do about it, you did your best.
