Hello everyone,
After waiting about ten years (literally) were finally going to buy a Spyder RTL!!! ( 2019 orange and dark) What would a good price for this bike? (sticker is $27,000)
Since we've never bought a spyder.....or even a motorcycle before how much can we expect the dealer to move from the sticker? Are there hidden fees we should look out for?
ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks for your time and help!!!

Shop around, make sure and test drive the different models i.e. RT F3 Ryker ECT. you can get a better deal on a leftover 2018 that will have the same stuff but several K cheaper.

Take the driving course that can am dealers offer first if you can. that will help you decide a lot of things.

Rebates on the the 2018 right now are $5500. Shop around a bit. Motosports, motomember both have good prices depending on where you live. Extras fees will or could include freight and assembly, extended warranty, accessories added. Taxes obviously and depending on where you live there are tire charges or town charges based on emissions and dealer fees. Most of them are like $5 a tire or $30 for town fees. Finally there are finance fees most often around $60-100 and registration/plate fees another $60-100 so around $160-$200 for processing fees. Look for demos or showroom but its pretty early in the season for that. If you are set on the orange then I guess shop around. If not set on orange theres a lot of 2018’s out there. Some as low at $19997 for the RT -$21799 for limiteds. Not including tax

:welcome: …. I've owned three …. never bought the any of them Loaded with lots of stuff …. :agree: with above advice ….. If for some reason you decide that Spyders aren't for you, having a lower priced model will reduce the $$$$ hit you will be taking …… I now have a Basic 2014 RT , I'm a DIT'er and have more things on mine now than were on the LTD model ….. good luck …… go to the home page and check out ' IMotorsports for their inventory ( new & used ) …. many here have bought from them …. they ship FREE to you ……. If we don't get the 19 in orange we'll be buying a white 2018.

It's not what you've got in it: it's what you get out of it; that truly matters!

Happy Shopping! :2thumbs:

The 19s will start to come way down in price by July. I bought my 18 F3L last early July for 22,200 plus tax and fees. That was 6,200 off retail.

like the idea of buying non current model. My 2017 came from IMotorsports, MANY thousand less
than the new (not neccesarily) improved 2018. If this is your first Spyder,, congrats on taking the plunge.
Instead of the high board maybe look at that carryover white one.

The orange / dark is stunning. We like white, too, but go with the heart. If the orange speaks to you, answer!
Buy the motorcycle!

Far from being an expert on Spiders [as my previous post will attest] and i do live in a separate country/continent

i can say this, i have bought new bikes for the last forty plus years and would say this. Leave something in it for the dealer! they appreciate it and there are other ways to save money, optional extras for one thing, buy new from them and any good dealer should/would look after you.

Servicing, my experience is they will be more committed and helpful to you than if you bought elsewhere and live locally. Believe it or not they are just like you Human!

Buying a bike at this price point a couple of grand either way shouldn't make a huge difference to finances or repayments, after all, it's the first $25000 or so that will hurt not the last grand or two.

Go for what you want if the 19 is what you want get it, life's too short!

By the way. i am not now, nor have i ever been, a practicing motorcycle dealer!

Good luck.

Just a heads up on imotorsportsinc - they have a used Spyder listed on their page with a "click for price" on it, where they ask for your phone number and email. I've received 4 calls and 3 emails in the last two hours and still haven't been given a price, even though I've asked via email and phone. On the phone they said I needed to come in to get the price. I'm in South Carolina and they're in Chicago. I hate high pressure sales people and I'll walk away from them in a heartbeat no matter how good the deal might be.

Just keep in mind there's a $5500 rebate on new 2018's. You should be able to lop off $6000 off the MSRP, and since it's a factory incentive, it's no skin off the dealer.
