I have 5500 miles on my se5. Brake failure light came on I ignored it for last 500 miles. No apparent issues when riding. Dealer says brakes worn out not covered by warranty. Seems like very short life for brakes. Thoughts?

:agree: Seems very short, but brake life is highly variable. Put on some new pads (before you damage the rotors), and see if they hold up. EBC has Spyder pads now, if you don't want to go with the new BRP ones.

Has anyone used these EBC pads that Scotty has mentioned. Do they have the same squealing problem as the BRP pads :dontknow:

Brand new on the market... I'd be really surprised if ANYONE has them yet... I posted the first announcement of them about a week ago.

I have used them on other bikes... good stuff.
