I don't know, I don't remember anyone wearing stuff like this. But I was in High School, so I wore tee shirts and jeans. If anyone showed up at my school wearing stuff like this I think he would have ended up upside down in a trash can.

And I know for certain I never saw this. The girls where in Jordash designer jeans.

The hairdos, mustaches on the men, and pastel colors are a big giveaway on the 70's fashion stuff.

Me...I tried to avoid most of that.

Not in my neighborhood. Dressing like that would have probably resulted in getting yourself beat up...... (except maybe on Halloween)..... But I was out of school by the mid 60s and pretty much ignored fashons. And my wife will tell you that continues even today..... Jim

So, you don't remember this? Big difference between this photo and Pulp Fiction's Travolta. Same kind of styling - bell bottoms, etc.

And then there were the elephant bell bottoms when regular bell bottoms just wouldn’t do!

This is more like what I remember. These days, the girl 'Uniform' is Chelsea boots, skinny jeans, tunic and cardigan or some variation of that.

Yeah, back then, girls would wear a long inseam so the bell bottoms would get frayed from the heel stepping on it. They also had a huge comb sticking out of their back pocket so they could maintain their Farrah Fawcett feathered hair. Now girls keep a smart phone where the comb used to be.

When looking at old pictures, one can often tell what era the picture was taken by looking at how the women dressed because womens styles evolve much faster than men.

Women's cloths and shoes are also complicated. The styles and fit is all over the map. I complemented a women on her 'booties'. She corrected me saying they are chelsea boots. :lecturef_smilie: Hey, what do I know?:dontknow:
