Each year I participate in 2 Grand Tours. One is the Glacier Lakes Motorcycle Club and the other is TeamStrange. These tours provide a great way to get out on your Spyder, go places you would not normally go and ride roads you didn't know existed. These are self guided tours you do at your own pace. Get as many locations as you want or as little as you want. I have done these for the last 10 years or so.

I just got my flags for the GLMC tour which is based on finding towns throughout North America with gems in their names and some hidden gem locations along the way. >>> http://www.glmc.org/GLMC_Garage/showthread.php?tid=1009&pid=8074#pid8074 (hopefully this link works)

The other one is Teamstrange's States of Confusion GT >>> http://www.teamstrange.com/2019/grandtour/index.htm

This is my flag for GLMC. Awaiting Teamstrange's flag

You will love Glacier and the Going to Sun Road. You could always use these Grand Tours to route yourself to Glacier

I have no vested interest in these GT other than a participant

I have been doing these off and on for several years ever since the AMA started them up again in the late 90's early 2000's. I like the Tour of Honor, and like the ones Team Strange does, but there are others. Team Strange did one several years ago about finding historical plaques/markers. That one was a lot of fun. .Also the one about the election back in 2016 . You can find a pretty complete listing on the AMA website.

Thanks for the info and some history of these tours. I have heard of the Tour of Honor. Will check out over on AMA too.
